Early reports jones bring his whole staff to tennessee

his staff wins, dont see a problem with that, either way no way everyone comes, i say their OC and QB coach definetely, well see

:good!:
Everybody take a deep breath and step away from the ledge. Reports are he already contacted Tee. He will have the ability to hire a good staff with good ties. His defense was top 20 this season. He has won more conference titles and has a higher winning percentage than Strong, who he beat twice, and Fedora. Not saying we are winning the crystal ball next year but geeze calm down and give the man a chance.

Agree totally sometimes I wonder about this fan base first u want fulmer gone ***** about Chablis etc and then ***** about a winning coach before he has even had a chance man as if the seasons aren't hard enough lately this fan base sure doesn't make it easier

I find it interesting the most fans that are angry about the hire are angry because we didnt get a homerun type name for our head coach. A name like Saban, Miles, or gruden. The assumption being that their name reognition that their name carries today has always existed. When LSU hired saban he hadnt done very much at Michigan St. Miles was alright at Ok st. They werent homerun hires at that time. They are now because some AD gave them an opportunity at a place that offered all the necessary resources to win at a high level.
That is what we have here. Jones is a coach who has won everywhere he has had an opportunity. Tennessee has everything he needs to win. Lets give him that same opportunity. I am not sure, just like everyone else, that he will succeed here, but there is no reason to think that he wont. I dont want to hear about his recruiting not being what we need here or he has no ties in the south. Neither did miles or saban. they did fine with more resources that the sec schools can offer. UT has all he needs and he can be successful. I would like to think that we as UT fans are the best fans in the nation, but some of the responses on this board leads me to think that logic isnt allowed here. Let us all take a few days and think through this hire and only respond with common sense and not child like emotion.

Oh yes if he brings his whole staff it will be an utter disaster on an epic scale. NOT!!!!!!

These four guys have been with Jones since Central Michigan, I'd expect these for sure.

Steve Stripling - Asst. HC/Def. Run Game Co./DL
Mike Bajakan - OC/QB
Mark Elder -SpTeams/Safeties
Dan Mahoney - OL

Jim Janeck - DC.... He's been with Jones since he got to Cincinatti. Coached LB's at UGA and was fired/resigned. He's a maybe, but there are definitely some guys he should look at like Kevin Steele.

My prediction is that Graham might stay on, doubt anyone else. The rest would be new faces.

ok everybody, in the end we didnt get what we wanted but it could have been much worse. i am just glad we got a coach that can play defense and emphasizes defensive scoring. are u people crazy? obviously he has to prove him self but in his situation at central Michigan and and cincinnati at least he knows how to run a defense and did a pretty good damn job in his conference. basically hes moving up to the big leagues. he has to prove himself but from what ive seen he is a world away from dooley. people that want to argue he lost to dooley, give me break, the talent level dooley had was way beyond what jones had or could get for his conference. this guy has a fire under his ass and seems to be a true vol. i am 30 yrs old and lived in k town for 13yrs since i was 3. once orange blood is in u , it doesnt come out, so spare the bs about why whining about why we didnt get gruden. its time to stand by this coach or jump off this train. u choose

I don't understand this hire at all. Does Hart really think this coach and his staff will compete for SEC titles?

You are not the only one who does not understand this hire. When Hart sobers up, he probably won't understand it either.

GBO.......... despite Hart's lunacy.

It is! And due to Hart's lunacy, I feel like one of'em today.

GBO................ anyway.

Here's a serious question for you. The BOT has approved the hire and it's done. What can you do about it? What can any of us do about it? I'm listening

What can we do about it? That is a very good question. Probably not much, but if anyone wants to tar-and-feather Hart... I'm all in!

GBO................ anyway.

All these Saban/Meyer/Spurrier/Miles comparisons are completely retarded. Each of them had shown that they could vastly improve a program. Tennessee will be Jones' first experience with program-building without having Kelly set the table for him. He's basically learning on the job at Tennessee. People don't see anything wrong with that?

Yeah... it all sounds very familiar, like when Hamilton sold us all that Doolaide. I guess we'll all be drinking Hart's "Jones Soda" now.

GBO................ anyway (yeah, I'm really excited (not)).

I keep hearing the name Tee mentioned. Was he not in trouble with the law when he was at UT?.

Tee?!?!?! Not even close he's positively Disney. He came from rough area but he's straight up nice guy, hard worker, just an excellent human being.
