Models aren’t picking up quick enough. Look at a live radar. Dew points are rising quickly. It’s already getting icy in crossville.

It's too dry here. Humidity is 47%, that's really low for this area.

A lot of accidents reported on the roads and interstates across east TN and northern GA. If you don't absolutely need to travel, I strongly recommend waiting until the temps get above 32 to be on the roads.

Cold air trapped in the valley. Gatlinburg is 38 right now while knoxville is 32.


Edit: Looks like the WAA are starting to take over west of knoxville. Wait till atleast 1pm if you can to get out.

Hwy 11 was impassible in Lenoir City around 8:30. I turned around, slid down back roads to 321. Loudon roads were much better --either a shade warmer or they treated the roads more aggressively.

Also 33 degrees and rain, what god have we offended that allows this to happen? Give me snow or move along.

Some models today are showing a snow storm for much of Arkansas and West/Mid Tennessee for this weekend. Anyone think the models can/will shift to East Tennessee?
