Good news with the 12Z Euro:

The Low pressure has shifted South about 400 miles. It's still not where we need it to be, but that big shift is encouraging.

Can't believe you clowns (an endearing term) are cheering for snow. Some of us (like truckers) have to go out and risk our lives in that crap because our employer says we're required to make the effort.

There, I'm off my soapbox.

I hope your not one of the truckers that pass me doing 60mph with ice and snow on the roads.

Nope. I do keep an eye on road conditions though. If the lanes are snow free (for the most part) and our tires are kicking up a lot of spray, I'll move at the speed limit. If the lanes are snow covered or it's obviously icy, I'll reduce speed considerably and keep my distance from other vehicles.

I'm a teacher. :) We love snow!

First mention of system from NOAA

ANOTHER SYSTEM WILL MOVE INTO THE AREA LATE SUNDAY NIGHT WITH
ARCTIC AIR ALREADY IN PLACE...SNOW WILL MOVE INTO THE AREA FROM
SOUTHWEST TO NORTHEAST. SNOW MAY TRANSITION TO A RAIN/SNOW MIX FOR
LOCATIONS SOUTH OF I-40 ON MONDAY. THIS SYSTEM IS STILL SEVERAL
DAYS AWAY SO PLEASE CHECK BACK OFTER FOR THE LATEST UPDATES.

Here is the 18z GFS..from the looks of this model it seems to think that it will be too warm in the valley..hence the sandwich effect with good snow totals in the mountains and plateau..we'll see what the 0z says later

This definitely looks like a much more realistic model given the history of winter weather patterns for this area.
