I'm worried about that GFS 18z run. It's very close to matching the 12z Euro, which isn't good for snow. If the trend continues on the 0z run for the GFS, it will be the same as the 12z Euro.

Yea I just seen TWC explain it. Their Euro is showing a much stronger storm more South and the model showed the low bringing up warm air and pushing the 540 rain/snow line well above us.

We have to remember (and I have to keep reminding myself of this) that all of these model runs right now are fantasy 5 days out from the system. The same goes for what TWC says right now.

GFS 0Z model..looking better

Serious question: why do those models think 5-6 inches for the valley if the low is only supposed to be 32F? And isn't the valley notorious for trapping warm air?

And it looks like it's increased a lot since the 12z GFS model that was calling for 1-2 inches earlier today. That Has to be a good sign

so is it going to snow or not and if so,how much ? I'm tiered of being snowed in so much, the snow isn't melting out of my driveway very fast this year :) and yes,I do live in a holler and it points dead north, which means my yard receives very little sunshine this time of year and a ton of sunshine in the summer lol

I've all ready had the car up against the house once this year, trying to get out of my driveway :)

I got some more good news. The 0z UKMET has now joined in with the GFS/GEM/Euro Para/EPS in showing a Miller A system.

There will be a weak clipper system moving in on Friday. It shouldn't be too much of a concern for those in the Central Valley, as I'm expecting a dusting at the most for Knoxville. Could see an inch or 2 the further north and higher elevation you are. It wouldn't shock me if there were some areas in the Mountains getting 3 inches.
