I'm hoping for a good winter storm, with everyone being safe. Then next weekend it's supposed to be 60 degrees, so hopefully winter is over after this nice snow fall
Hows the upcoming tornado season looking to you guys? Just a guess I know.
I asked a meteorologist about how bad the Severe weather would be in the spring. He said that it is too early to say anything for certain, but he thinks that the Mid South could get mauled with Severe Thunderstorms. I asked him about the areas East of the Plateau and said that it's too hard to tell for this region.
The 0z Sunday GFS run shows snow in the valley with heavy accumulation in the northern valley. In looking at the temps in the model it predicts we'll get the snow and then above freezing surface temps will come in Monday afternoon. Based on this model we should start seeing snow in the valley late tomorrow night and overnight to Monday morning.
I'm real curious what the GGEM 0z run shows a bit later tonight.
0z GFS run. If anyone lives in the Northwest corner of Anderson County, go ahead and prepare to get obliterated.

Yeah I've already missed 2 M-W classes..one for snow and one for MLK day..but believe it or not I'm right on schedule on my syllabus..mostly because I gave them tons of material last week thinking we might miss some this coming weekNot colleges. At least not UT.
Edit: Sadly, I can't afford to miss a day of teaching. My syllabus is too chock full of killer papers; no fat to trim. Push this back a day so I can get out of class on Tuesday.
