Just for fun, here's the latest GFS model run for next weekend.

Fingers crossed...

It's a dream. 9-16 inches of snow would be like blizzard of '93, though I think the numbers were even higher than that. They'd have to to declare a state of emergency for the entire state of North Carolina too if that model holds up.

We're getting a suppressed look right now for the system next Friday (meaning that the system is staying south of us for the most part). That is actually a good thing at this time. The reason is because since the beginning of December, systems have moved more north than what the models have shown. The temps shown by the latest model runs have been pretty cold as well.
Alot of the winter systems did the same last year allowing the warm gulf air to come up and keep it rain for us. Agree, I like it being shown below us a week out.

Really wish we had the EURO. I'm not worried about Temps right now. Freezing rain is a possibility as well. Definitely interesting.

I know, did this all last year. Still cross my fingers with every pie in the sky model.

What is the EURO looking like?

The 12z Euro hasn't come out yet. The 0z Euro last night looked good for Northern border counties, but little to no snow for the valley. I'm not paying attention to specifics on the model runs until tomorrow or Tuesday.
