Eating and Drinking in Knoxville (merged)

their fries are like eating soggy toilet paper. fresh cut fries are incredibly overrated.

Rafferty's has a limited menu and terrible food. i would not recommend it, ever.

Famous Dave's is decent for what it is.

Has anyone been to Sweet P's BBQ on Maryville Pike? Forgive me if this has already been asked. I am thinking of going there this weekend

Raffertys still has my favorite hot fingers...but they are a chain so the rest is typical chain food. Famous Daves is atrocious.

haven't been to the actual marina to eat, but they've catered a few events i was at. i didn't have any problem making myself sick from eating too much.

the strip does indeed suck, but DTGB is on Gay St.

I realize. What I was getting at was that I hate the strip, so I usually just go to DTGB. Could have worded it better, but yeah. Strip sucks, market square rarely has anywhere I want to be, and the Old City I can take or leave.

Only place I go to eat or drink on the strip is Copper Cellar. Got too old for the branch

Great BBQ...they also serve from the kitchen at the Valarium. We are planning on visiting Sweet P's by boat after the game on Saturday. Maybe we'll see you there!

I heard World Grotto closed. Not the best bar or anything, but I had some fun times there. Apparently it is going to be a dance club downstairs and a sports bar upstairs. Hopefully the new club keeps the cave decor but ditches the stinky pillows.

Anyone eaten at Pei Wei (sp?) in Turkey Creek? Just saw tonight that it was open as we were on the way to Stir Fry Cafe.

I've eaten at the Pei Wei here in TX. It is basically PF Chang food in a more casual setting. I like it.

It's still great, just the occasional outbreak of idiocy. That's the price an establishment pays for being popular. The more folks that come through the door, the better the chance of some morons entering.

That's when you start raising them prices little by little to keep the riff raff out.

in knoxville? looks like it's out at Turkey Creek/Parkside Dr.... near WalMart...

also, emory road near st. mary's

spice rack = mexican hooters

didn't eat but thought draft beer was a little pricey. food looked good and seemed reasonably priced enough.

worth the trip for eye candy alone.
