Econ 101 for Presidential Candidates (and VN) - CATO

Maybe they cant make the trip for whatever reason. So should we have immigration laws or not?

Of course we shouldn't. It's none of your business who I hire. Why would you have the right to tell me I cannot hire someone? It's my business. Leave me alone. If you don't like who I hire, then don't do business with me.

So we should have completely open borders? Like the Middle East?

Is this how this works? I ask you a question and then you respond with more questions? Why do you believe you have a right to tell me who I can and cannot hire? We should all be allowed to associate freely.

And outside of countries who we've destroyed, who in the Middle East has open borders?

Why would their families stay in another country?

Because,... and I mean this ... ding dong - because you have NO imagination..... many of them, THEY LIKE living within their own culture. Others, it's the extended family thing. Others, family already have a good job. Others, their family either kicked them out or don't want them back for whatever reason.

And that's just spitballin as I wear out my fat thumb typing this shist.

Since it's the season, I suppose you get to make your ding dong responses with a silver bell instead of that ol' cracked pot metal one you usually employ.

Pot metal bells
Pot metal bells
It's BS time in Volnation.

Because your illegals are not paying taxes dumbass. You are out of your ****ing mind.

They're not paying taxes because of the current system. We are clearly not talking about the current system, but a free market system.

So if they were paying taxes, why do you believe you have a right to tell someone who they can or cannot hire?

Huff sucks at being Huff. You suck even worse at trying to be Huff.

You're still upset because you just now realized that you're advocating for a large central government and central economic planning?

I would be upset too if I were you.

Maaybe not, but that would make it easier for the .gov to come in and arrest the whole lot and ship them back to wherever they came from. BECAUSE THEY ARE ILLEGALLY HERE. I hope your training costs are worth the turnover.

You're saying they've been kicked out by their family members and yet they're going to send their pay checks back to the people who kicked them out?

That makes total sense.

Way to avoid the question. Why do you oppose immigration?

Dear lord, please grant us patience as we ask 8188...

Are they legally documented workers paying taxes?

You want everything to be discussed under your definitions. And NO, I don't want yours or huff's definition of free markets, good government, ...any of it, to obtain ascendency in the United States. I suspect the only way it might gain anything would be insurrection. I would be willing to do my part to see your forms of lunacy put down by whatever means necessary by our legally installed republic.

There's a lot of options here for taxes without documentation. One would just be a tax system based entirely on property and consumption. Most all libertarians oppose income taxes

But, if the employer is taking taxes out of their paychecks, would you be satisfied? What else would you want and why?

I will not play your game. You full well know what a legal immigrant or legally documented workers with a legally obtained visa is.
Obey the current laws in place and any modifications.

If Anne Frank would just stop breaking the law, she wouldn't have to hide in the attic right?

Just pay your taxes on tea, who needs a revolution?

We should question any and all laws. This country was founded on questioning authority. Governments are created to protect freedoms, not limit them.

If you support laws that limit freedoms of others, you better have a hell of a better reason than "it's the law!"

I LIKE the immigration and workers vias laws and think they need expanding.

I wholeheartedly believe the penalties for breaking them should be much, much tougher. On both the criminal who illegally entered the country and the criminal citizens here who hire them.

Oh, and what we have now...

IT IS THE LAW

Edit: Oh, and trying to make a simili out of Anne Frank's situation...
that's just stupid.

But why? Why do you support limiting the freedoms of other Americans?

Why should I not be allowed to hire anyone I want? It's my business, why do you believe you should have any say in it?

Illegals drive down wages for legal residents, e-verify should be the law of the land.

Sounds like socialist bs you've been fed by the labor unions. Do you really believe we need a minimum wage? And do lower wages not mean cheaper goods?

If you disagree with those statements, then I guess you support a 15 dollars minimum wage?

When you flood the market with cheap illegal labor wages remain stagnant, competition and the free market will determine what the wages should be. No I don't support minimum wage of 15 bones per hr either

So you don't support an increase in minimum wage but do believe it's necessary?

Why do we loss jobs? Because of taxes and labor costs. So why are we not supporting policies to address those two things?

Instead of building border walls and using tariffs, how about we start addressing the real problems? Minimum wage and taxes are what cost Americans jobs. Not immigrants legal or illegal.
