‘23 EN TE Emmanuel Okoye (Tennessee commit)

Great athlete.

Would get dominated in the SEC imo
Why? This isn't someone that is expected to contribute immediately. This is a raw material recruit. Some of the best raw material I've ever seen. We have no idea what this kid can be in 2-3 years, but he is the type of athlete that may allow us to take the next step. Our coaches are very confident in their abilities to develop raw talent.

I think they enjoy the challenge.

I love our coaches, but they've made the wrong call plenty of times.

I don't see it with this guy.
He's LESS impressive than the Ravenwood kid that was a Bama.legacy that went to OU.

Those measurables are nice, but I'm not seeing a coordinated athlete with a mean attitude.

PASS.
HARD PASS...

TE. Didn’t see him playing Any TE. I would feel better about passing if he didn’t look impressive at the position he’s going to play. Pass at DE, I’ll agree with.

He's one dude.
We need at least 2!
There’s a thing called the transfer portal where we can get them from. Freshmen TEs rarely make a huge impact in the SEC anyway. Taking a project with enormous upside along with Echols will be just fine. Especially since we have Davis already. I’d be willing to bet we try to take one with multiple years of eligibility remaining during this portal cycle along with another in 2024. This staff’s judgement in recruiting has yet to be determined at OL and DB, but I’ve learned to trust them at almost every other position regarding talent evaluation

You're right we definitely need a transfer portal TE for 2024. But we also need another real prospect to grow with Davis.

I said we need at least 2. We really should get 3 TEs.
And this kid wouldn't be in my Top 20 of TE prospects....🤮

Based on some highlights from HUDL? He’s 6’5 230 and has a 45” vert. I don’t think Heupel would pursue if he didn’t think he would work

You're referring to Reggie Grimes Jr. who had been playing and around football his whole life. This kid is from Nigeria and was exposed to American football for the first time a year and a half ago. The two are not the same. This kid is also a far superior athlete compared to Grimes. This is definitely a project worth taking a risk on. Especially if we're talking about him playing TE and possibly being a late add to the '23 class.

SEC is "MAN'S" ball. 🇺🇸😡💪

The coaches have seen ALL the video that there is available to them on this kid. They have now also seen him in person and spent hours conversing with him. They have extensive background info as well at this point. No one can deny that he is a freakish athlete. I mean the type of athlete that a room full of freaks would point out as a freak. If our coaches want his signature, then I'm all good with it and would welcome the addition.

I have coached athletes and football for many years so my 2 cents is YES I want this freakish Long Athelete because if he does get it one day on how to play game at highest level he will be AA in future can't coach his gifts they are a Blessing. We can recruit another TE that's ready immediately. In CHRIST Alone

At the end of the day it's their decision. Sure.
It doesn't change that he's just going to be some tall dude standing on the sideline all game.
