while i disagree with the statement that the sec is just a bunch of rednecks and racists......

the stadiums and schools are lily white.

finding black people in the stands (that aren't members of the players' families) is almost like trying to find bigfoot

Ummm...can't this be said about pretty much every major college football stadium? Pretty much every crowd at every FBS football game on any given Saturday is by far in the majority white.

When was the last time NC State was the single prime-time game on any network? Probably never! If TN had of scheduled a major team to start the season then we wouldn't be having this discussion.

NC State is very capable of beating Tennessee, this is gonna be a good game and most of the nation is gonna miss it.

i know it's become a running joke like the rod wilks thing.....

but, are there people that honestly believe espn hates tennessee?

Lee Corso hated UT first. Then UT hated Lee Corso, then ESPN hated UT.

Trailer park frenzy. ESPN's push actually started just a few weeks before the voting.

THIS!

I recall Chris Fowler saying something about "Getting the Vols fans whipped up into a trailer park frenzy."

I don't remember anything referencing "trailer park trash."
I'm not saying that wasn't said, I just don't remember that. Trailer Park Frenzy was certainly said.

When Tennessee beat No.8 Florida? Yeah, not a single word on ESPN. There were articles about unranked teams beating the no.20 or no.18, but not a word about our underdog-win. Questions?

Are you referring to this past weekend's game? If so, I saw it on Sports Center several times.

We scheduled the game back when they were actually a very decent team. Right around the time Rivers left them for the NFL. Just like with anything, you can't predict where a team will be in 10 years when you originally schedule them. Hell, our home and home with USC had to be scheduled for what, 2021 or something like that? So please, save this argument.

Even if they had Rivers its still not a team that could compete on a national level. NC State hasn't won a conference championship in almost 33 years.

We all know ESPN hates Tennessee by now. That said, what can we as Vol fans do about it? (Protest, boycott, drawing attention to it via other media outlets, petitions, etc)??? What proof and evidence do we have to support our claim? Just thought it would be a fun thread to conjure up a plan of action and put ESPN's unfair treatment and passive-aggressive tendencies toward Tennessee to rest.

On the other hand, if you are of the belief that ESPN does not in fact hate Tennessee, feel free to flame away and bash me for my delusional stance. Either way, let's have some fun here and kill some time until the beatdown of Alabama tomorrow.

Worst thread of the decade.

I've heard this from UT fans over the years but have no idea where it came from. Why do some of you think that ESPN hates UT? Is this just paranoia?
