ESPN hates TN. What now?

I've heard this from UT fans over the years but have no idea where it came from. Why do some of you think that ESPN hates UT? Is this just paranoia?

It's either paranoia or just plain stupidity. Also in case you haven't noticed, we have a lot of fans who just seem to like to whine.

Gooood lordie! Espn doesn't hate UT any more than it hates Georgia or South Carolina or any of the others. ESPN did seemingly push Rod Woodson for Heisman and he beat out Peyton. And a lot of fans did fuss, and it was that Kirk Herbstreet (or whatever his name is) who made the bad joke on the air about "Tennessee setting a lot of their trailors on fire". He later apologized. That was 15 freaking years ago.

There is absolutely nothing to this story. It is exactly like the Rod Wilks thing. It is a long running joke. And after awhile, it has gone on so long, that people forget that it all started as a joke. If we continue this trend, in 10 years, kids will be on here stating that their older brother for sure saw Rod WIlks flying around campus with a cape on. Gheez...

ESPN doesn't give a rat's azz one way or the other about Tennessee...end of story.

It wasn't Herbstreet, it was Fowler and he didn't say anything about setting anything on fire, he said "whipped into a trailer park frenzay". His comments were stupid yes, but he never used the term "traish" or "redneck".

You are right. I was wrong. My fault. It was Chris Fowler and your quote is correct. Thanks for clearing that up.

I have attempted trailor park humor before. It's not a big deal...not professional, but not a big deal.

Hell who hasn't lived in a trailer park?

Well, learn something every day. When it comes to tipping, how would the AA's stack up against the Jews?

never waited on Jews (if I did, I didnt know it) so cant say so. It would be nice to brush it off as sterotype but cant. As an AA once told me when I tried to pawn off a table of AA's to him, "why? they're just gonna give me the same $1 as they give you"
