I must STRONGLY disagree. There are a lot of kids in East Tenn that would be good (ETSU) caliber but not UT caliber players. Tri-cities, Morristown, Greenville, Metro Knoxville, Chattanooga...there's a ton of really good football players around here that they wouldn't even have to worry about competing with UT for. JMO
its a liberal arts university.
They will not be going after UT caliber players...I'm telling you, they won't. However they are also close to NC and VA. Getting players shouldn't be an issue. But they'll not be fighting UT for many.
U are probably right. But I didn't see Bill Curry getting UGA or GT players to GSU, and so what? He wasnt expected to. PF would not get back in the game foe the purpose of competing at the highest level-- many UT fans forget he's already climbed that mountain. PF may just want to get back in the game for the love of it and the game would be better with Fulmer in it. Folks should accept it for what it is and be proud PF is taking on a project IN TENNESSEE. If it happens, it's huge for that community. Haters gonna hate I suppose.
