You'd be surprised how many shoes are on the other foot in the silent majority of Vol Nation. They never post. They think it's a three ring circus. Can't believe you guys follow me from the basketball forum to this one just to carry on your antics. Addicted, I guess. Folks can easily tell who the real trolls are. :)

Yes, it means ETSU is in the tourney and Tennessee isn't. That's a fact. It's also totally irrelevant to the question of which team is a better team.

The committee didn't select ETSU. They got in by winning a tournament that Tennessee had no chance to play in.

What are my troll friends gonna do when Coach Forbes and his ETSU team beat Coach White and the Florida Gators? Cry like a baby? After all, he told the watch party they were gonna kick some ass and yeah he used that word. ☺

Why does matter if a TN fan pulls for another in-state school just because we didnt make the tourney? This is really Barnes first full year and I thought he did pretty good for what he had.

Good possibility a lot of Power 5 schools playing Mid-Majors get caught off guard and it wouldn't surprise me one bit if ETSU beats Florida but lets get real about a couple of things. ETSU is not winning the national championship and people in this thread don't care for the OP because he's a coach worshiper and hates all things UT that don't involve Donnie Tyndall.

They may upset Florida. But i hope they lose by 20. Just because it would make the bitterness a little sweeter that UT had a rough seasons end. But if they do win. I will pull against them until their tourny days are over. Thanks for making me hate another East Tennessee school.

I actually hate that Dave Hart hired his long time buddy, Rick Barnes, when Steve Forbes was available. ETSU recruited him right under UT's nose. Sad!

Forbes got a show cause while at UT. How hard is it to understand that he will NEVER coach here again?

Convincing yourself it's a possibility does provide a laugh though.

You don't hire a coach from the Junior College ranks to take over a Power 5 program and if you fault Hart for not doing that you're a bigger idiot than I thought.

Forbes wasn't at a juco because of lack of experience nor was it ability. He was as hot as any assistant could be prior to the Pearl fiasco that derailed his meteoric rise up the ranks. ETSU was lucky to get him and will be even luckier to hold him. He was a hit commidity then, literally spotlighting ETSU when they were able to hire him.

You dont get a HC job at UT having never been a HC before at a high level. Forbes needs to have success somewhere besides ETSU before hes considered for a major P5 job. Jmo.

Correct he went JUCO after the mess with Pearl. But he was still unproven as a head coach at the D1 Level. Is he a great coach? Yes Was the timing right when Donnie was fired? No, how could you justify hiring a guy part of the Pearl drama after you just fired a guy for NCAA drama? My beef isn't with you it's with Seniordrill because his only intentions are to spew crap
