Evansville upsets ECU, headed to Knoxville.

Not sure how you can be top-heavy in leadership.. like we had 2-3 good leaders but the rest of the team were bad leaders? Haha. We’re deeper this year than in ‘22 but Maybe we aren’t quite as talented at the top, that part I agree with.
A lot of team chemistry due to Leadership. This team is good, doesn’t mean that they cannot be beat, but they are methodical, all business, and confident. Alot of different pieces fitting together as one unit. CTV demeanor changed from 2022 and that is another factor in this team.

Per my Grandpa, "never look a gift horse in the mouth."

Haven't an idea what that means but seemed like a good time to throw it out there.
The phrase "never look a gift horse in the mouth" means that you should not criticize or scrutinize a gift or something given to you freely, especially when the gift is something valuable or beneficial. The origin of this expression lies in the practice of evaluating a horse's age and health by examining its teeth. If you receive a horse as a gift, inspecting its mouth would be seen as ungrateful or rude, implying that you are questioning the quality or worth of the gift.

In essence, the saying encourages people to appreciate and accept gifts graciously, without focusing on potential flaws or shortcomings.

Thanks for the explanation.

At the end of the game, did anyone see the stat that had Tennessee, Evansville, and Arkansas, as 1st, 2nd, and 3rd? They took it down right as I saw it and wasn't sure what it was in regards to.

Thought they played a lot more like a 2-3 seed than a 4 seed.

They can hit throughout their lineup, came up clutch when they needed to, and never looked like they were nervous or the moment was too big (although they had a couple of terriblely executed innings).

We sure as hell can’t just show up and expect to win. But I have no fear of that happening with this team. I feel very optimistic about our chances this weekend.

They are a solid team. Their entire regional didn’t have a true 1 seed in it though. Now they play the ultimate 1 seed inside LNS. We will win…oh yes…we will win!

Except for that one time when they SHOULD have looked a gift horse in the mouth 😉1C50B779-F699-4A82-B699-725B487D550E.jpeg

Don’t overlook this team. The scariest thing in a post season is a team that gets hot at just the right time.
Get ahead of them early in game one and don’t let up.
In baseball, anything can happen in a short series. On a positive note, we only lost one series all year and that was to Bama early in the season.

We aren’t the players or coaches.
Hahaha I love me some Vol baseball but to think anything we say or do here affects the players, coaches, outcomes of the games is CRAZY!! Btw…did you see some of the Volunteer Tradition sale items..some baseball related…I grabbed that Smokey with the baseball bat Orange rope hate today…was only 25 bucks!

The 2022 team would beat you and then tell you about it and if you wanted to fight that was ok too. This team will beat you and shake your hand after the game . This bunch is very business like.
