Eviction Moratorium

When will the lessor's real estate taxes, insurance and notes be forgiven? No wherewithal to pay these items because of "state" action. This bovine excreta has to flow to the related parties.

Wealth redistribution...every thing they do. Used to be subtle, not anymore.

Cori Bush, Democrat demanding eviction halt, was Sued For Not Paying Rent

Rep. Bush was sued for not paying thousands of dollars in rent in 2015

"Squad" member Rep. Cori Bush of Missouri, who has been demanding a halt in evictions since last week, was sued for not paying thousands of dollars in rent in 2015.

In early June 2015, the Circuit Court of St. Louis County, Missouri ordered Bush to pay $3,167.25, including court costs, to the plaintiff Trotwood Downs and Brittany Town Homes, state court records reviewed by Fox News show.

Attorney Randall Reinker, who represented Trotwood Downs and specializes in "landlord/tenant matters for individual and group property owners," told Fox News that as a result of Bush not paying the rent, she was issued a "general execution" and evicted from the property later that month.

Bush has been evicted at least two other times, according to a letter that she sent last week to her House colleagues urging them to extend the moratorium before leaving for August recess, noting that she was previously "forced" to live in her car with her two children.

A Fox News reporter attempted to ask Bush questions Tuesday afternoon about the moratorium and her three evictions while she was speaking to other Democratic senators outside the Capitol, including Sen. Cory Booker, D-N.J., but one of her staff members attempted to block the camera and said she was not taking questions.

Did the owner just now find this guy after 3 decades of bothering nobody out in the woods?
Of course this makes complete sense doing this to an 81 yo harming nobody in life. I guess the owner is pissed that he missed all that rent money for those 30 years.

Like with a lot of things, they are openly saying it out loud now. We don't think you don't need all that money, so we're going to take from you and give it to someone else.

I read about this a few days ago. I was looking for the article that gave some background and just read that the cabin burned a 3 days ago. If I remember correctly the city alerted the owner because dude's cabin didn't have a septic or sewer system and he was guiding hikers/campers out of the place.

At least the love letters were saved.

CNN helped raise $230,000 for ‘mom’ facing eviction before issuing major correction: ‘She is not the mother'

CNN recently promoted the story of a "mom" of three young children who was nervous about being evicted amid the federal eviction moratorium. The liberal network even pushed a GoFundMe to help her cover the rent – but it turns out she wasn’t the mother after all.

CNN reporter Nick Watt caught up with Dasha Kelly last week for a story on the recent eviction moratorium lapse. He referred to the three children as "her little girls" and noted they could all end up on the street as CNN’s on-screen chyron said, "Mom braces for eviction." Watt explained that Kelly lost her job because of the coronavirus pandemic and can no longer afford child care, and her "little girls" were shown during CNN’s segment.

However, it turns out Kelly isn’t the mother of the three young children used throughout CNN’s reporting.

Can also look at it as "Americans prove they are still among the most generous givers regardless of circumstance."

Positivity is a good thing.
Nevada has had their rental assistance program up for months, and also passed legislation to block eviction for anyone who has applied for assistance. I don't know what it says about the average American that money is sitting out there for the taking, has been in the news in many forms for over 8 months, and the majority of renters still have no clue it's available.

No they had tried to remove him for decades. Liberal BS and civil courts kept delaying

I hope this guy is a liberal and just figured out that Joe Biden's party just made it possible for him to not pay rent.

Las Vegas landlord who 'didn't want to go through the eviction process' Kills two tenants and a third is shot NINE times but survives, in argument over unpaid rent that he wanted to handle 'his way'

A landlord accused of shooting three tenants and killing two of them during an argument over unpaid rent told a witness that 'he didn´t want to go through the eviction process,' a prosecutor said today.

Arnoldo Lozano-Sanchez, 78, allegedly slayed two women and wounded a man by shooting him nine times at his Las Vegas home.

He had 'made statements about the victims not paying rent and that he was certainly upset about it' but he wanted to handle it 'his way,' Chief Deputy District Attorney Tim Fattig told a judge.

Has any congressperson in the past, oh, 50 years ever uttered the phrase "I recuse myself due to a conduct of interest"?

Dang. If I were in her shoes, I would have not in good conscience been able to vote.

Why are they singling out land lords only? Shouldn’t all utilities have to quit charging for their product? Why should grocery stores not be giving food away? This whole line of thought is crazy.

EXCLUSIVE: Iraq vet who 'hacked man with hatchet' at an ATM in NYC lived in squalor in Yonkers apartment where he Terrorized Neighbors, Chased Landlord Naked and would Sneak Into Female Tenant's Bedroom - But Couldn't Be Evicted Thanks to State Moratorium

  • WARNING: Graphic content
The Iraq War veteran who allegedly bludgeoned a man with a hatchet at a Chase bank ATM in New York City Sunday, spent six months living in Yonkers terrorizing his housemates who repeatedly had to call police for help, DailyMail.com has learned.

But the state's eviction moratorium prevented suspect Aaron Garcia from being kicked out of the apartment building.

The 37-year-old, who is charged with assault and attempted murder, was living in squalor at the home where he would light candles that would burn the walls, and once set his mattress on fire, neighbors and tenants say.

Tenants said he would also sneak into a female tenant's bedroom, curl up on her bed nude while playing with her clothes.

When his landlord came for the rent one month, Garcia allegedly chased him from the building while naked, causing the landlord to stumble to the ground.

But that still wasn't enough to get him evicted.
