6. Bama
7. Bama
8. Bama
9. USCe
10. UGA
11. Austin Peay...our biggest in-state threat.
12. Vandy
13. Mo because we got off on the wrong foot there.
14. Aub we have lost at least two in a row to them.
15. Ky, still pissed our 28 year streak was broken...How could they!
16. Ducks for that whippin they gave us.
17. LSU for ruining our season in the SEC Championship game of 2001.
With all the ugliness in the world and Jerry Springer mentality in America, I try to not add to the mess. Didn't say I'm successful at it but do try to be. So I don't hate of the other schools' fans or want to shut them up. I want to see my Vols win because I know wins speak for themselves. Which is why you see a lot of the response you see in his thread. It provokes jealousy, even pettiness in the opposition when you win. You really have to say anything then.
From my take as an outsider, based on what I've seen on these boards I'd rank them this way:
1. Bama - just a long time rival. This seems to be a "True" rivalry game to me. Our equivalent would be the beavs.
2. Vandy - Seems to fit the rival theme as well. This seems more like a hate than a rivalry. Our equivalent would be the puppies.
3. Florida - I don't understand this "rivalry", of course if they weren't in the SEC you'd never see them outside of the state of Florida except for a bowl game. Worst traveling team in the SEC.
4. Georgia - similar to Florida in my opinion. They remind me of UCLA, great "rankings for recruiting" that don't translate to championships very often. Basically, biggest under performers of the two leagues.
5. LSU - Not sure why they aren't higher on Tenn fan lists.
As far as I'm concerned, when I think of the SEC's "storied" programs I think of Bama, LSU and Tenn.
Regarding #5 LSU, for me, we just don't play LSU often enough to develop a real hatred for them. Also in my area of middle Tennessee, there are very few LSU fans running their mouths. In my area we are infested with Bammers but have very few LSU or Georgia fans. From my take as an outsider, based on what I've seen on these boards I'd rank them this way:

Am I seeing an Oregon fan talking about gawdawful school colors and uniforms? :crazy:A few years ago, I was in New Orleans on business the Thursday and Friday before Florida played LSU at LSU. My first impression of Florida fans was "My GOD what UGLY colors!!!!!!"
The only people that should be allowed to wear those colors should be golfers over the age of 80 with cataracts
Is it not kinda unmanly to hope that some 17-23 year-old kids, most of whom you don't know, help you feel some weird kinda superiority over others just because they win? I love the game and love cheering for my team, but I do not understand this apparent need to tie my ego to a scoreboard over which I have absolutely no control. The fact that someone supports another team does not make them some kind of cosmic "loser" - do you really think you would be a UT fan had you been born and raised in Florida and attended UF? If you do, you're kidding yourself.
