FBI, Lowder, Dye Etc Unbelievable Summary on the Newton Situation (Must Read)

So you think that "if" Barn gets kicked out, we're coming over to take their place?

I think we'll be there soon enough. This wont have any bearing on it though. If anything, it creates speculation from the Maroon Sport Coat crowd that the SEC is a different breed of recruiting.

And before it starts, spare me the "Well aTm was in the SWC and had Jackie so dont go thinking your so innocent blah blah blah..." I've owned that on more than one occasion.

I used them as example since they were most recent target. Who knows who it might be?

Auburn fans truly believe this is going away soon. Good lord they raise em dumb down there.

You've owned it your whole life.

Barn fans are in for a very harsh reality. They should prepare themselves accordingly. Gene Chizik sentenced himself to the coaching gas chamber regardless of his perceived "lack of knowledge of the inner workings".

I said it the other day when it happened and I'll say it again. When Gene ran out #2 the other day, he essentially sealed his own fate.

There is one thread on their board that makes the case that it is the 'liberals who run espn' who are out to get AU.

Not saying it will happen but if their football team is given the death penalty and they lose SACS accreditation, the possibility will have to be explored between the other 11 members. Ironically Georgia and Alabama may be the ones that would keep them around. Beating your rivals is fun, beating them by 50 for 10 years in a row is better.

If they lose their SACS accreditation, then I'm pretty sure they aren't eligible to be in the SEC anymore.

Sad day for the SEC if it happens. I don't particularly like Auburn, but the conference, at least from a football standpoint, is better with them in it.

and if you're talking about ole Gene Stallings, he's rehabilitated from his Bama ways, or so Ive heard.

You dont have the wallet to "raid their recruits".

With Good Reason, its still pretty insane that they had them on a wire tap. Man they are out of SEC, so who wants to make the thread for who's gonna replace them? I vote for Clemson or Miami

If the FBI and the 'AA are sharing evidence and half of this is proven to be true, they will be the next SMU. Even if they aren't given the death penalty, the sanctions handed down will be so severe, they will wish they had been given it. Look at the scholarships USC lost and they are looking like saints compared to this debacle.

My vote would go to A & M right now. That deal with the Big 12 ain't looking near as rosy with the other UT not even bowl eligible this year after playing in the MNCG last year. There will be some major conference restructuring going on either next spring or the spring of 2012, regardless of how this plays out.

They aren't going to kick Auburn out. The NCAA will bring the judgement hammer down, but Auburn isn't going anywhere imo.

oddly enough, in context to aTm getting Barn recruits, Cam did attend Blinn Juco which is located in, wait for it, wait for it.........Brenham/Bryan Texas.

If Auburn is cleared what will happen to this version of the story? IOW, if you buy this version of the story and Auburn is cleared will you feel that this story is still correct or will you view it as an alternative reality?

Just curious how "history" gets written and "truth" is established.

5) 2007 Saban shows up at Bama

6) Lowder and Co. are scared about Bama's hire and want Tubs out, allegedly because Tubs won't "actively" participate in PFP schemes which Lowder and Co. feel is necessary to compete with Bama's new hire.

This makes a lot of sense because from what I heard that is what kept Muschamp away from us. The necessity to cheat to win against Saban and Meyer.

I have said before and will say again that Miles is the one pulling all the strings behind this. Its all part of his grand scheme.

I agree completely.

Its like the Pinky and Brain episode where Brain lets Pinky make the plans to conquer the world, and every stupid thing Pinky does works via some obscene cosmic coincidence.

I could describe in detail what they were, but its is easier to say its just like winning via the 13th man after a cluster F of time management and win via bounce pass in the same year all the Cam Newton stuff comes down the pipe.

I am becoming a Les Miles fan because of all of this. I have realized resistance is futile, and the LSU fan base should be paying him 10 million a year, because only by hiring Les Miles can you buy that kind of luck. Other than when UT plays LSU, I will be cheering for the Purple and Yellow because I've come to love riding the crazy train.
