Fear the Walking Dead

I'd be changing my name to Nanook and brushing up on my Inuit while hauling ass Northward.

They ought to do a few winter episodes on TWD where they hack away at very slow zombies. Lol
They could probably take out a herd in the winter.

There would be a new set of dangers too like walking in the deep snow and stepping on one buried underneath.

I was going to argue "deep snow" in the middle of GA but it'd still be a cool scene regardless.

Tough Walker to be able to bite through my winter clothes and boots...not going out barefoot and in shorts... Haha,

But it would be a tough scene to find Walkers that way...like a shark attack

Argh! What's so dang hard about telling the teen girl the truth about what's going on?! That's annoying the hell outta me. Other than that, this show is great and I'm hooked.

Strange they skipped a week. I thought my DVR just missed it.

The Dead take holiday weekends off...

:)

I would bet that it has to do with decreased viewers on holiday weekends rather than anything else. They are pumping that show up and trying to keep the ratings up.

I know right? Let's see some proactive parenting! "Listen darlin , they will eat you! And you'll be come one!"

I think the idea behind that is the mother being asked the question is struggling with the answer herself so she really isn't quite sure what to say. She's in disbelief of what she's seeing.

Even if they don't full understand what's going on, it's pretty clear that they understand those who are sick present are mortal threat to everyone they are near.

What's so hard about saying "sick people will attack you, stay away"?!

Leaving their daughter in the dark is putting her life at risk; most parents instincts would have kicked in by now to save their children at all costs.

It's a tv show about zombies. It isn't real.

That's pretty much how I perceived it too. We'll see what they say to her in the next episode.

I was confused by the skip week too. Just went to watch and couldn't find it. Had to Google it to see what the deal was.

That's the way I interpret it anyway. The daughter asks the mom what's going on and in the mom's head she's thinking, "am I really about to tell my daughter that dead people are coming back to life"?

They skipped airing on Labor day as they assumed people would be hanging out with their families and not watching too much tv.

Ok this show is getting pretty awesome. That view of the city power outage was eerie. The hospital scene was great too. Doing a great job demonstrating how helpless everyone is becoming.

Yeah I'm digging this! Loving the military intervention toward the end. One of the biggest questions I have about twd is how the military tried to handle the event and what was their ultimate demise

It's easy to shoot sporadic, mindless zombies so if a zombie herd doesn't ultimately run them out then it'll be humans who don't respond well to their draconian ways. I think it was insinuated that Patrick wasn't exactly taken away and put into quarantine.

I'm definitely enjoying this show. It's much better than I thought it would be. I thought it would be a typical spinoff that relies way too much on the original series but this one is really standing on its own.

Also I think they had a nod to the web episode coming up about the outbreak on a plane, when Nick looked up at the plane that was flying crazy.

That's probably the plane that crashes and has the survivor that joins the cast in Season 2.

The scenes where they are dealing with the Walker neighbors is very realistic...even though something is very wrong with them, I could see people trying to reason with friends, family and neighbors even as the infected are trying to get them. Never thought about it that way. Would easily explain how quickly it could spread.

The remaining episodes should be very exciting as well as showing how everything goes to hades.

So now I'm upset that they limited the first season to only 6 episodes.
