Federal Indictment of Donald Trump

Yeah, I do hear that's the general legal consensus. The issue is that the matter would undoubtedly be appealed all the way to the SCOTUS. Could Trump successfully run a campaign with the possibility that he'd be disqualified from holding the position if he got the nomination?
It'd be heard immediately and he'd be ruled eligible. That'd be something you wouldn't want normalized.

Honestly, if it keeps him from being able to run again, I'm for it. The whole ends justify the means thing.
Well, if the ends justify the means, why even bother with the legal dressing on this? Just pick him up and take him to Guantanamo. Or better yet, why don't you just go shoot him? The ends justify the means...

It is such a conspiracy party for you. Everybody is against the Republicans, yet you believe there are more of Republicans in this country. And your godless crap is tired. Because I don't believe in your fairytale... I believe I am god. Do you know how dumb that sounds.

I will say it slow. I don't believe in god. Therefore, I don't believe that I am god.

I also disagree with most of what many democrats stand for. I disagree with most of what Republicans stand for.
You’ve lost your mind

It’s ironic that there is mistrust of the FBI when Trump was the one demanding loyalty from them and they wholeheartedly refused. Your mistrust is placed with the incorrect party, I’m afraid.

Btw, it wasn’t an assessment of trump (I’ll gladly give one if asked), just a parade of the company he keeps.
First, if you believe your post does not represent your assessment of Trump, you are surely the only person in this forum who believes so. It has been proven that the FBI demonstrated no loyalty to Trump (to whom no loyalty is owed) and no loyalty to the rule of law (to which full loyalty is owed).

I hope this falls flat on the fbi and dems..if Trump come thru unscathed I hope he doesn't run. If he does he will have no choice but to go scorched earth on the dems and he will be risen worse then ever by MsM. Let DeSantiz run..and be more effective behind the scenes Trump....

Watching EL and LG act like Jeffery Toobin on a Zoom call is pathetic..especially as we find out more about the player that authorized the raid and where they line up politically

How is it similar?
Oh I don’t know. One had classified material on a laptop and the other had classified material at his house. Other than that, no similarities. One was deposed for 6 hours under oath and still nothing was found, and the other had a raid done on his house. No judge in America is going to sign off on a raid of a former presidents house without damn near 100% confidence they will find something. To be wrong would be political suicide.

One set up a server inside their house outside of .gov channels or security protocols, hid that fact from their own IT security people and wiped it all clean before it could be seized and examined same one also destroyed cell phones before they could be examined. The other supposedly had a few classified documents in a safe at their house and supposedly didn't turn them over to the national archives. Yeah exact same situations.

Yea the 1 guy...amazing that someone would put their job security over the rights of a citizen...that never happens....are you slow?
What rights does he have that are different than any others? If you commit a crime, there are consequences.

Despite that... No raid, no warrant from a suspicious judge.

How is it similar?
1) Doesn't this involve the safeguarding of classified information?

2) Wasn't the Republican Party brouhaha over Hillary Clinton's usage of a private e-mail server for official public communications motivated, at least in part, by a desire to damage her politically?

There clearly are similarities.
