Federal Indictment of Donald Trump

I know I sh*tpost, but this one is worth reading

Yeah and the intelligence agencies and FBI also told us for two years that Hunter Bidens laptop was Russian disinformation. We’ve been lied to over and over by the Justice Dept and FBI. The fact that you’re still gullible to believe everything they say is not a good look for you.

One set up a server inside their house outside of .gov channels or security protocols, hid that fact from their own IT security people and wiped it all clean before it could be seized and examined same one also destroyed cell phones before they could be examined. The other supposedly had a few classified documents in a safe at their house and supposedly didn't turn them over to the national archives. Yeah exact same situations.
A few? Lol. 15 boxes. You can downplay the severity all you want. If you think a former president having classified material at his residence isn’t a grave threat to national security then I don’t know what to tell you.

So far no one has proven he committed a crime.

Indeed. But the raid just happened yesterday so I’d imagine it takes a little time. But surely you understand that if you or I did this, we’d be ****ed five ways from Sunday.

We don't yet know what Trump took with him to Mar-A-Lago. You are trying to downplay it, before the facts have been established. That is just as wrong as the liberals on here, who are talking about criminal charges, before an investigation has been completed.

You have a lot more faith in the government that most

If not then they deserve the criticism that Trump and his Fox minions are throwing out there.

Would you agree that it's possible that this, in fact, a serious matter? We need to wait and see in my book.

First, if you believe your post does not represent your assessment of Trump, you are surely the only person in this forum who believes so. It has been proven that the FBI demonstrated no loyalty to Trump (to whom no loyalty is owed) and no loyalty to the rule of law (to which full loyalty is owed).
Sounds like an opinion to me.

I can't believe I'm about to do this. I agree with you and I agree with Andrew Cuomo but it better be consequential documents. Otherwise, it will be labeled political and open a very gross door into the future.

Just because something is marked classified does not make it's existence a threat to national security. Logic says SOS running ALL of her email communications through a private server had to have top secret sensitive information stored on it.

The U.S. Government Keeps Too Many Secrets

No more than the Secretary of State having a private server at her house. Not sure where the level of downplay gets used in regards to classified material and acceptance. Same server was hacked by foreign countries if we are using national security as the reason.

True we don't know, chances are we will never know but if I was a betting man I'd say nothing he had endangered our national security.

That's my point. Everyone needs to take a deep breath and see what this is about.

The left needs to stop speculating without foundation that it is X and therefore concluding Trump will be charged with a serious crime; the right needs to stop speculating that it is Y, and therefore of no consequence at all.

Just wait and see what it was all about.

Maybe so.

But if so, that's a pretty big step to take for a minor reason.

(See? You can speculate it is of no consequence, but I can speculate it is. Neither of us knows.)

Might want to go back and re-examine your source material. The 15 boxes were turned in some time back. And as Hog has referenced, the term classified material covers a lot of ground with a lot of it virtually meaningless.

If he did have classified information that endangers national security, yeah, I'm onboard that is a no-no and there should be consequences. What those on the left are apparently oblivious to is this has all the appearance of wash-rinse-repeat. Trump has done something! This time we have him! Well, wait, not really. Okay, but next time!

It is like watching the crowds in Life of Brian running around looking for their next religious experience.

Damn it.

My reputation is going off the rails today.

Again, this would have been signed off on by everybody from the bottom to the tip top. Nobody would commit political suicide over something as trivial as some pics of Trump taking a dump.

After the PutinGate fiasco you still think they wouldn't leap at the slightest opportunity?

kind of like everything else that was signed off on from the bottom to the tip top? The batting average is about, let's see, somewhere in the neighborhood of....

...zero.

Read Sen. Blackburn's full statement:

Today, the FBI flew agents from Washington, D.C. to advance the bureau’s years-long campaign to take down President Trump. Bill and Hillary Clinton took $28,000 worth of furnishings from the White House, and Obama violated the Presidential Records Act. Yet the FBI did not raid their homes. This is a political witch hunt, and partisan federal prosecutions will only increase now that the Democrats just voted to give the IRS 87,000 more agents. If the DOJ can target President Trump, imagine what they will do to anyone who dares support him. I stand with President Trump

Seeing as how this has never happened before I’d say this is a little different.
