I usually agree that one and dones arent best for a team like ours, but NEXT years team is PERFECT for a one and done/grad transfer (think Daniels but better).Who cares what * the players have, Barnes doesn't want 1 and done freshman. I understand the need to recruit at a high level, but I know that the team we have this year is really good and I don't know a 5* among them. Slow your roll, Barnes is doing a great job for this university.
.Anfernee Simons (No. 7)
Earlier this month at the Hoophall Classic, Simons said he was likely to at least test the NBA draft waters -- which obviously throws a wrinkle into his recruitment. He's eligible for the draft because he's 19 and a year removed from his graduating class. Simons recently visited Tennessee and is expected to visit NC State next month. UCLA, South Carolina, Florida and others are involved. It's unclear whether Simons plans to make a decision until after he makes an NBA draft call.
Prediction: Tennessee
Confidence level: 40 percent
Others in the mix: NBA, NC State, Florida, South Carolina, UCLA
Id like to think given the bright future for next year, should Simone go pro, we could get a solid grad transfer who want to be part of a tourney run.
