NIL is gonna level the playing field. Lol. Out bud yet again. People can make fun of Ruiz for buying players all you want. The fact is Cristobol and him are buying a monster. And likely will continue this trend. I honestly thought having Nico was the X factor. That the Samoan culture connection would win out. I was wrong.

Yet again we cheaped out. Oh we are gonna land 4-5 5*s in this class. No we aren’t.

Miami being a big boy player helps TN Way more than its hurts them. TN and Miami rarely battle for recruits. Bama, Florida, and Georgia vs Miami is a different story

No Miami beat out UCF, Hawaii, Ball St, and us for Mauigoa.

Oh wait no that was Alabama, USC, and Florida for him. So I guess they all suck as programs too. A&M had the best class in recruiting history last year and they are sitting at 60th this year. You’re right some people just love being miserable.

I think spending that money last year is coming back to haunt them this year. It appears we're pacing ourselves for the long haul.

I know a strong Miami hurts UF and that is awesome. But yet again we were used as a stepping stone for more money. I just don’t understand why we can’t have any of our billionaire step up like Ruiz.

No I think NIL is everything in some instances and a bonus in others. When things were equal, TN was in the best shape and then late in week the status quo changed to Miami because it was a big difference. All schools/collectives have to approach this like a business unless you have unlimited money which TN does not. You can’t put the rest of your class at risk for one guy that isn’t a QB. That’s just my opinion tho.

If the rumored 4 million is true, what do you think that will do for a locker full of 18 to 20 year olds? If true, I’m glad we ‘cheaped’ out.

You gonna use this same rhetoric every time we miss on a top target? This post is akin to the “oh well we didn’t want him anyway” type. Yes we landed a stud in Echols. Guess what? He is a 2024 recruit. There is no guarantee he sticks with us. Many times guys who commit that early end up decommitting.

Is our class good? Yes. And we aren’t done. Still got some really stud players on the hook. But the bottom line is we got screwed yet again today. We got used yet again as a stepping stone for a raise. And you know what? It sucks. This wasn’t some diamond in the rough prospect where we were fighting the likes of Missouri, NC state and Northwestern for. This was an absolute stud at a HUGE position of need that USC, Bama, UGA, MIami and just about every other big time program wanted.

So you can use the oh well every team misses thing all you want. And while that’s true it’s not the same. It seems Bama has missed on a few of its top targets. But guess what? Their class will easily still be top 3-5. And the fact is we are not gonna get to the point of ever being a serious threat in the East without at the least top 10 classes.

Seems to be really hurting Miami. The rumor is they gave Rashada $9 million. So let’s assume they gave Mauigoa $4 million.

Rashada committed on 6/26. Since then here is who they have gotten:

5* OG Mauigoa
4* TE Riley Williams
4* WR Nathaniel Josephs
4* ATH Robert Stafford

I find it interesting nico hasn’t congratulated Francis on his commitment. He did to kasper and Tate. Maybe he just hasn’t got to it yet

If we lose Nico to Miami this board will be in full meltdown mode and It wouldn’t shock me if that happened that would be par for course for us
