Fox being sued for allegedly broadcasting ‘lies’ about Dominion

There is no equivalent to the gangster (trump) in the Democratic Party. And never would be. CNN and MSNBC audience is more educated and sophisticated than Fox's audience---sorry, but true--and would never put up with the way Fox operates.
Ha! If that’s actually true then why post something so dumb? What’s funny is you got a like from another elitist who also looks down on us common folk. Thank you for gracing me with your immense intellect.

Fox News viewers need their safe space which is precisely why Fox made the deliberate decision to tell them what they wanted to hear instead of telling them the truth. And Tucker is so depraved he felt it was better to fire a reporter for debunking election lies because their snowflake viewers feelings were hurt.

For Fox News, factual reporting is bad for business.
Of course TC fired a dissenter. His show is nothing but opinion so he won’t keep someone on who has opposing views.

I'm confused. So Cuomo is FOS because of his two-faced BS, and that means Tucker isn't FOS because Cuomo did it first?

Rational people have known what they were doing for years but it's nice to finally have the receipts, they are now being exposed for solely being a vehicle for right wing propaganda and grievance.
But the echo chamber is pretty airtight, their viewers have been conditioned to support this nonsense and not seek out factual sources - it's easier for them to be lied to, it's their safe space.
And CNN and MSNBC do the same for the left while the left says word for word the same thing across all networks like they’re all reading the same script while their sheep don’t even know they’re being led around.

No I think they are both FOS but liberal dbags wanna try to take a moral high ground again in something started on their side. Fox news and TC doesn't gain the traction it has until CNN and that ilk went hard core.

I think it's valid to criticize both of them, but avoiding Tucker and pivoting to "but Chris Cuomo" is equally dbag behavior. Besides this is chicken and the egg, we can sit here and list various conservative and liberal media hypocrites and liars going back for years.

https://www.cnn.com/2023/04/13/media/fox-news-producer-lawsuit/index.html

A former Fox News producer who claims the right-wing network pressured her to give false testimony escalated her own lawsuit against the company, adding CEO Suzanne Scott as defendant and accusing Fox’s lawyers of deleting messages from her phone.

In explosive lawsuits filed last month, Abby Grossberg claimed Fox lawyers bullied her into protecting the network and its on-air personalities in her deposition for the Dominion Voting Systems’ case.

BB85 said there was not one on the left similar to TC on Fox and quickly and easily provided one out of a multitude of options.

They are not REMOTELY COMPARABLE situations. The entire Fox on air talent team exploited the MAGA base and lied about a news story. For months.

Cuomo lied about his brother and was fired.

The way the networks on the whole dealt with these situations was completely different. One actively promoted continuing to lie.

For money. And damn the country and the truth.

What are your thoughts on Tucker and his credibility given his on-air comments versus his off-air comments? Let's not worry about other media folk or other extraneous factors.

Cuomo's stuff was shady and he should have been fired, Tucker's stuff was shady and he should have been fired.

I replied to Cobb, but I'd like to know what everyone else thinks, too. Be candid. Answer without deflecting.

You never provided a comparable example of a bad faith argument being exposed on CNN or MSNBC ... with Tucker Carlson's text messages, revealed during the discovery phase of Dominion's law suit. You drew one false equivalency after another.

You don't seem to comprehend what Tucker Carlson is even guilty of. He gives opinions which are not truly his own. He is a two-faced fraud. You are talking about other things.

Russian collusion. Apparently you missed that whole exploitation, likely because you still believe it.

I haven’t watched the evening Fox shows or any other cable news shows in three years. They are all opinion shows saying exactly what their audience wants them to say for ratings.

Well said, assuming you include Tucker and his colleagues in this analysis.

LOL.

Just for one example ...

Rachel Maddow has the highest rated show on MSNBC. She is originally from Alameda County in northern California. She is a lesbian, who went to both Stanford and Oxford. Before joining MSNBC, she had a show on the liberal Air America talk radio channel, and worked for the Senate campaign of Barbara Boxer. There is no reason to believe that the liberal opinions that she expresses on her show, are not her own.

That is what is at issue here with Tucker Carlson. It's his private vs public dichotomy. Tucker Carlson is not who he purports to be on his show. In private conversations, Carlson emphatically announces his hatred for Donald Trump, and he explains his reasons for this hatred. On his show, Carlson does nothing but obsequiously kiss Donald Trump's butt.

You have no proof of Rachel Maddow doing the same thing. You have drawn false equivalencies in this discussion.

You’re so indoctrinated that you don’t even know it. I’m shocked. You probably still believe Trump called Neo-Nazis very fine people because CNN and MSNBC told you it’s true when a quick look at the transcript of what he actually said confirms he specifically said he wasn’t talking about that group.

Don't forget that Trump fostered genocide because according to the left side of the media he told people to drink bleach.

And CNN and MSNBC do the same for the left while the left says word for word the same thing across all networks like they’re all reading the same script while their sheep don’t even know they’re being led around.

Even the three old major TV news broadcasters slant the news on a daily basis. Watch the smirks and body language on ABC news, and consider the stories that they don't discuss. It's still lying by omission and using non verbal language to vilify.
