Fox being sued for allegedly broadcasting ‘lies’ about Dominion

I don't watch CNN. The only time period in which I ever did, was back when they covered much more than just politics. Their sports coverage with Van Earl Wright, Nick Charles, Vince Cellini, Dan Hicks, Fred Hickman, Hannah Storm and Nancy Newman was exceptional ... but that's going back over 20 years.

I have repeatedly explained why Fox News is worse than MSNBC and every main stream network which provides news coverage. That hasn't stopped you from constantly deflecting ... but I will once more, anyway :

1) Tucker Carlson tried to have one of his own colleagues fired (a female reporter), because she had the nerve to accurately fact-check one of Donald Trump's bogus election fraud claims. Basically, Carlson wanted this reporter fired for doing her job well, just because he thought it was hurting their standing in the Nielsen Ratings. That is despicable ... and you have no comparable "what-about-ism" which you can point towards.

2) Fox News just agreed to pay the single largest financial sum ever, for the purpose of settling a defamation lawsuit out of court ... and now, Smartmatic is in the on-deck circle.

3) The discovery phase of the Dominion suit revealed a very clear duality from the employees of Fox News. They have a very low opinion of their viewership, and an even lower opinion of Donald Trump. You would never know this, however, by watching their shows.
So your equating office politics between TC and another person fo fact checking as some big scandal. TC is an egotistical ass who thinks he knows more then everyone else...I'm surprised with the way you scold people here that your not a big fan. But that is all that I there..equating that to liberal media who have done the same to 2 kids...and also continues to tell on air lies to spark a racial and political divide in the public

CNN has Paid Sandman an undisclosed amount and Rittenhouse hasn't even filed yet.... FOX tried to bluff Dominion and lost....I'd rather then try to slander a company than ruin individuals lives like MSM has done to others....I'll be the smartmatic lawsuit won't get very far ..if I understand it the actual algorithms belong to smartmatic..in order to prove them false they'd have to release them to a intermediary for the court investigate an determine...because it proprietary.

It reflects a much bigger problem with Fox News, than "office politics" ...

Their show hosts value stock prices and Nielsen Ratings, much more than they value actual journalism and telling the truth. You have no such proof of that anywhere else. You can only speculate.

You could have figured that point out on your own, I think.

That was the consensus belief from the right on the Dominion suit as well ... The Smartmatic case will also be settled just prior to the trial. Not for as much as Dominion, but likely somewhere between $250-$300 hundred million.

FOX will not lose. How much will Dominion lose in crooked lawyer's fees?
@whodeycin85 ...

This was a prediction from December 12th, by the most aggressive defender that Fox News has on VolNation. Technically, agreeing to a settlement is never actually losing ... but paying out $787.5 million sure as hell ain't winning either.

Fox News acknowledged the court's finding that it repeatedly aired false claims. That is loss.

FOX news is a buisness, what sells truth or what people wanna hear? They all out the stock prices and Ratings over truth..FOX lied, bluffed got caught and will pay....it no more erroneous the the situations I mentioned earlier..

No, it's more complicated than that, when you profess to be a news reporting agency as they still do. The principles of journalism are relevant. Fox News has trampled those principles.

I always heard the reference to "A bad settlement is better than a good trial". You simply never know what will happen once the jury starts to deliberate.

I would disagree, but it definitely removes the risk.

I have heard that a successful settlement negotiation is one where both parties leave the table unhappy.

CNN and MSDNC should be forced to pay $10 Billion each for the Trump Collusion lies they spouted for years.
But that’s different…because it controlled the base and helped divide the country. Media manipulation is low hanging fruit to those who are told what to believe. Keeps the left voting for the same thing they are against.

I'm proud to say I have no clue where Tucker lives. I obviously made the wrong assumption that he did his show from NYC which would mean he lived nearby.
Wrong assumption? You kept telling that assumption over and over believing it was real. That’s lack of knowledge not wrong assumption. Typical left rhetoric of hate without knowing.

lol....That is the very definition of an assumption.
I also assume that since Fox News is headquartered there that most of their executives live in or around NYC.
Ironic.
Find another hill to die on.

My new favorite "2020 Presidential Election Sour Grapes" story. LOL.

Mike Lindell probably assumed that he could be the only arbiter of whether or not his data had been de-bunked, since he was the one who extended the challenge, and the reward was his money. It probably never crossed his mind that the person who accepted his challenge, and then de-bunked him, would have any recourse to collect if he refused to pay.

Maybe, Mr. Pillow will be more careful about running his mouth next time? Sometimes, bluffs are called, and the law doesn't work exactly how you think it does.

So again, you were wrong. Lesson learned to not assume and run with it.

He needs to ask all of the true patriots who know he is telling the truth to send him a hundred bucks.

Not to be outdone by anyone in opposing positions who decided to run constant coverage to viewers on Russian Collusion, Steele Dossier or Impeachments without those principles you stated.

Again you say they trampled them as if they are worse...year prior to 2020 CNN and ilk have been reporting lies and slandering for years without being challenged....so it not different it's not worse. They bluffed and lost....you bias shows thru as you can't see the obvious comparison..

@hUTch2002 ,

The only thing the right-wingers here know how to do is deflect.

See post #647 of this thread. I was right.
