Fox news "fair and balanced" yeah RIGHT

I keep hearing Democrats say that the GOP has moved too far to the right to be relevant. In case you didn't notice, the GOP ran a moderate, who pandered to the far right for president and it didn't turn out so well. The Republican party's woes emanated from acting like Democrats during the Bush administration.

Well, no wonder then.

Well, no wonder then.

But in reality every voter knew (or should have known) that it was just pandering. McCain wasn't going to govern from the right any more than Obama (who pandered to the center) was going to govern from the middle.

The fair and balanced channel showing their incompetence again.

I'm sure they don't do this on purpose.

Fox wouldn't be all that bad if only Fox viewers realized that they were watching propaganda.

I would bet a lot of money the average Fox News viewer is more aware which direction his preferred network leans than the average viewer of CNN or MSNBC.

Well done. The rest of the news world is pure news. Those idiots at Fox have screwed the pooch by leaning one way.

Fox doesn't lean, they simply lie. A huge difference.

Examples would be great.

Do you mean lie the way democratic supporting news anchors did about Bush years ago?

For the record I don't watch Fox regularly. I watch all the networks out there from time to time, just to see how they are covering things. This way you can cut through all their slant and get the truth, it's always somewhere in the middle.

My problem with Fox is that the line between their "journalism" department and the "commentators" has blurred. When reading the news, my impression is that the Fox anchors rather routinely roll their eye, sigh, and intentionally emphasize aspects of stories so as to make it clear what they personally think of things (and that is 99.9 % of the time pro-Republican and/or anti-Democrat).

I realize that the rest of you feel the same way about CNN and MSNBC and the main networks in the other direction. I suppose I see it a little bit differently in that to me that left-leaning mainstream media has its point of view influence its selection of what is news and what isn't, as well as how they cover events and incidents. Fox, on the other hand, seems to cover a broader range of "news," but they wear their opinion of what they are covering on their collective sleeve.

If I watch the morning show on NBC, they cover all the main stuff. If I watch Fox & Friends, they cover all of the main stuff rather quickly and then go off onto relatively obscure matters that highlight a conservative point of view and then smirk into the camera.

I haven't seen said eye rolling. i did see the host on fox news on election night practically bend down and blow obama. i bet you $100 that the majority of the anchors are democrats or at the very least not right wing republicans. there is a bias, but it isn't coming from the anchors IMO.

Shepard Smith showing that neocon bias of his.

YouTube - Fox News' Shepard Smith: "We don't F%@king Torture!"

YouTube - Shepard Smith of Fox takes 'Joe The Plumber' to task

There are also some clips in there were he mocks Glenn Beck.

Mocking Glenn Beck is hardly evidence of a lack of bias. The guy is such a simpleton his stardom is testament only to how utterly stupid at least several million people must be to listen to anything he has to say.

Mocking Glenn Beck is proverbial shooting of fish in a barrel. A dry, shallow barrel. With an uzi.

Um. You make it sound like you listen to him fairly regularly.

you're not very bright are you

If you are a Fox faithful, I can understand why you don't know the difference between leaning and lying.

MSNBC-6-9 a.m. Joe Scarborough, a right wing nut job.
9-11 a.m. Dylan Ratigan, a business Repub.
11-noon Carlos whathisname, a Dem.
12-1p Nora O'Donnell, a Repub, but even handed
1-2p.m. Andrea Mitchell, a Repub and wife of Alan Greenspan. Bland anchors between two and five.
Matthews "the Clinton hater", Shultz, Olbermann, and Maddow who are all partisan Dems end the day.

MSNBSC is a slightly liberal network unlike ALL the Fox RNC talking point anchors and Repub management. It's hardly an accident that a Repub political operative, Roger Ailes, runs Fox News. RNC talking points are lies and gross exaggerations. Same for the DNC. The difference is that the DNC doesn't control MSNBC. The RNC controls Fox's message of the day. Defeated Republicans can't accept objectivity. Only the echo chamber willl do.

andrea mitchell is a FLAMING democrat. Dylan Ratigan never struck me as particurally republican on CNBC.
