at this juncture, we don't know if this true or not but it makes me think that Franklin could be the connection with Chris Boyd. Hear me out.
By all accounts, Boyd is a stand up, high character guy. He was arrested for allegedly giving "bad advice" after the fact - the speculation is that the advice was to delete the video/pictures. Is it hard to believe that Boyd went to Franklin, showed him the video/pictures, and asked what he should do? Is it also hard to believe that Franklin told him that the video/pictures need to be deleted - I find this hard to believe personally? Finally, is it hard to believe that someone from Boyd's camp leaked this part of the story?
It happens. Penn State.
Really ought to see the 60 Minutes Sports piece on the prosecuting attorneys for the Penn State case, they really gave a different perspective on JoPa than what I originally read, heard, and thought.
They don't believe he obstructed anything but...could he have done more? Yes, but they weren't sure what. They pretty much buried the AD & president though, said they obstructed the investigation from the very beginning and are or will be pursuing their charges.
Really good watch for those that have Showtime.
VERY well said!! :clapping:How about going to the police?
How about asking his "superiors" why a man who was accused of raping a child was still on campus?
How about asking 'Hey, why is this guy who was seen raping a kid bringing KIDS to Penn State Games'?
Those are things he not only could have done but SHOULD have done. This is simply common sense.

It will be interesting to see what action Franklin does or does not take. Were I in his shoes and I knew myself to be innocent of these charges, I would be strongly inclined to publicly declare my innocence and demand a retraction of these charges or face the certain prospects of a libel suit. If these charges begin to gain traction and find their way into more mainstream news outlets, the longer he goes without response, the more eyebrows will be raised in terms of public perception.
"What a garbage dump journalism article. "Might have" been raped? Either you are raped are you are not, and the woman did not report a rape from what I've seen thus far. This is a trumped up show trial created by Kampus Kops rejects from the metro force with nothing to do, a bored prosecutor, the metro cops who hate the local college, and UT fans wishing to throw dirt on their in-state competitor because of UT's bad past reputation by helping trump this up and sending this scummy article to outlets like buzzfeed or Breitbart. Not all sex cases are rape. This is certainly an example of undisciplined stupidity and should not have been going on in the dorm but the woman did not report a rape had occurred and all the reports of "sources" who thought perhaps this and that -- it's all third person b.s. - all "may have" this and that, "maybe" so and so was drunk, maybe not, bla bla. Not how the court system normally works.
While the dorm shouldn't be having drunken carousing, this is a case that is also ridiculous because the woman did not report any problem and at most the coach should have cracked down on allowing drunken stuff going on re team rules. You cannot likely totally prevent people from having sex and getting drunk or call every incident rape unless a woman reports it, based on someone wondering if "maybe" x, y, and z happened -- normally a case occurs when a woman reports a rape.
This is blown up out of proportion by people who hate Vanderbilt with an agenda. Vanderbilt for it's part, should have gotten rid of this idiot player who was running about with a woman who "may have been" drunk. If you think you are going to outlaw sex in a dorm, that is going to be hard to stop. There is nothing that likely happened that was worth jailing these people for, and it's going to wind up probably thrown out of court, although it may be "disturbing" after the media created a story out of thin air. Meanwhile a player who was not even present, like wide receiver Boyd, who wasn't present but was arrested because he wouldn't discuss the case (to punish him for not discussing his teammates) will have their careers ruined and interrupted by the lunatic Nashville police and incompetent student cops - as SEC rivals gloat and spread around baseless garbage to media."
I found this comment interesting in the breitbart article.
That's the editors covering their asses. It's the same reason reporters refer to murderers who are caught with the smoking gun as "suspects" until they're convicted in court.
Here is the interview from Bobby Allyn on 104.5 this afternoon:
