Freeze and Dabo negative religious recruit UT

Actually, the latest ideas have life, as single cells on this planet go, to have originated in the 1-3 billion year range (depending on what you read). There are very reasonable explanations for what happened in the interim. One that I like is that during that period of planetary bombardment, some of this early life was dislodged from this planet and found its way back at a later time aboard the debris along with the water it needed to grow.

Hell, the oldest hominids have been around for a few million years. Life itself goes back much further. If I were you I'd take the book you're reading and throw it out the window.

I will say this, there is ample evidence to suggest that if there is a "creator" that that being is, in turn, the worst engineer/doctor/etc. that man has ever known.

You seem to be wise in the ways of science. Can you please explain to me how SEX works?

Lol, no, seriously. How did single-celled organisms which reproduced by cell division "evolve" into two distinct sexes - both of which are required for the continuation of the species? If genetic mutation is required for evolution (adaptation) to occur, how on earth am I to believe one cell mutated into female, while another simultaneously mutated into male and managed to find the one (now different from all others) female.

The absurdly complex biological process that is human reproduction is more than enough evidence to me that this did not happen by chance. I await your scientific response to how reproduction can occur via evolution.

Thanks,
AV

...he was suspended for 7 games in a career that lasted 3 seasons. Whooptie damn dee.

Lol

Over half his last year when he was a top 5 draft projection

Surely you are smart enough to see that if the school/coach was corrupt here they would have kept playing him. Much more believable for a reasonable person to see the kid was punished severely when it was clear the kid broke rules

No, I give Ole Miss more credit than that. They had to sit him out for some games. His stepdad was singing louder than Pavarotti last July.

Mainly because there is no such thing as hell. It was a scare tactic to control people after they've grown up and are no longer a gullible kid with parents telling them what to do. It's called indoctrination. If money is the root of all evil, it's funny that churches have more of it than anyone. You'd think every single penny would be put back into the community but it's not. Why do you think popes used to be allowed to marry? There was never a rule against it originally. They added it so popes in the future wouldn't marry only to leave their wealth and prized gifts to their family when they pass. Now it goes back to the corrupt church that hides fleeing pedophiles.

Former priests have come out and how churches would blast the furnaces to make it nice and toasty as they scared people with their imaginary talks of hell. Anyone with a brain should come to the conclusion that if God is so loving and forgiving, burning someone for eternity would not only be the opposite of loving and forgiving but that God being almighty could have used his divine power to make them not awful people. I've also never figured out if God gave us free will to decide whether we go to heave/hell or if God has a plan for us all like so many religious followers like to spout. I guess God knowingly sent people to earth that were destined for hell. Nice God... would have been nicer if he didn't bring them in existence at all. Would have definitely been more compassionate than banishing them to hell for eternity.

Sucks for the people born into non-christian families and countries where christianity is practice by few. I guess a lot of muslims are going to hell by default for being born to the wrong family on the wrong side of the planet. Not that their actions and beliefs aren't hell worthy regardless of the fact they're not christian. If muslims truly follow their made up scripture, it leads them to killing non-believers. Christians on the other hand just threaten you. Isn't that what hell is? A threat.

If everyone was gullible enough to sit around waiting for the end of times and a prophet to appear, technology would be non-existent. Those same people would have had the mindset to burn people for being witches all because they produced technology they didn't understand. Sad that being dumb allows a cult.ure of people to blindly follow an imaginary entity with the threat of an imaginary hell as people are ripped off and used. Hell is nothing but a scare tactic to manipulate people. And if it's not, sounds like God is a pretty terrible whatever. Sending people to hell for eternity and smiting people. If that's the guy running heaven, maybe hell would be the better home. Would also explain why Lucifer wanted to put a stop to God killing people and torturing them permanently.

Dwindling In Unbelief: Who has killed more, Satan or God?

I promise to pray for you. Better to believe in hell and be wrong, than not believe and find out it's true.

Your forgetting one huge part of this.

The kid was punished well over half the season with a suspension

If he wasn't punished I would agree with you

I don't recall, but was he punished by the school / team, or by the NCAA? If it was the latter, then I don't think that clears the school of anything.

Does Swain know that he sounds ridiculous?

Why exactly does Swain sound ridiculous? He's telling his listeners what he's heard. Do you think those and other schools won't be negatively recruiting vs Tennessee using the current lawsuit?

I always wondered what the Lain Train proclaimed out on the recruiting trail with mom and grandma at the recruiting table? I could just see Lane and Ed O putting on their halos before walking in a UGA commits house and getting spiritual. :-\

It's very important to many recruits families in the South. So, if you're going to win enough recruiting battles, then coaches better have a plan of some sort. Plus, with our new lawsuit and every schools history, a lot of parents are just as concerned with moral outcomes as much as the player is future draft outcome.

I would expect every school we recruit against to use this at some level. All SEC schools have it, but we've got it in lights. I'm sure UT at least touched on Ole Miss' newfound NCAA violations on Kongbo's final visit. I would be upset if they didn't. It is what it is.

Yep when it became clear he was a Cheater he had to be suspended. Exactly what should have happened

When it became public he had to be suspended. If his stepdad doesn't sing, nothing would have ever happened to Tunsil. This is a classic example of a school supplying a player with improper benefits through intermediaries - boosters and friends of the program (car dealerships) with the plan of playing dumb if the fit hits the shan later. Lack of coach control is supposed to eliminate this - we will see if it is applied here. It should be.

Twitter is a controlled setting and I don't know how you can judge Freeze's motives based off his tweets.

I can say that what I have seen from him on there seems genuine.

It's been a long time, but I've seen Freeze behind closed doors and he openly promoted a Christian atmosphere amongst his staff. Always felt he was an interesting paradox of high morals but flexible ethics.

And, of course, that's only what I observed and not a summary judgement of who he truly is.

And cancer apparently. And Zika virus, polio, scurvy, lupus, etc. We have extremely delicate systems that easily fail. The earth itself will kill us given any opportunity. And we have plans (dna) that are often flawed and result in a whole host of other problems. For some reason we must eat through the same part of our bodies that we breathe. That's just dumb. So, if your statement above is correct, then my statement about being a lousy creator is also true.

I find the eating/breathing hole to be an efficient combo. I would be interested to see your alternative design though...

Yes As they should

2 very different ways swain could be describing this "negative" recruiting using religion

1) come play for me and I will be a leader of men and take care of your kid and treat him like my own. I will treat him in a Godly way and offer develop opportunities in the name of my faith. I know your other choices don't have the same atmosphere so if this is important to you and your family then we are the right choice

2) come play me, a man of integrity and a man of God. Your other choices are led by men that only care about their players on the field and could care less about the character of their players.

Very different examples and one of plenty of acceptable IMO. The other is below the belt

Instead of absolute proven truth? Idea, theory, observation = facts? Or do we ignore or disclaim the truth all around us?

You realize you are using other people's theories as your facts? Even carbon dating is a flawed theory that is in itself disproved by the very topic of today's news - gravitational waves that exist from events in space; with those waves degenerating over time.

You realize that theory is about as close to fact as we can get, right? It's one of those words that has lost the original correct meaning through overuse. In usage, a real theory uses mathematical and physical laws to create predictive models of the original observation. Then this is peer reviewed basically forever. Anything that is a theory is pretty stout. That's not to say that there won't be minor tweaks here and there as our knowledge expands, but the basic premise is solid.

As for using other people's theory, yes, yes I do. Based on what I describe above, if it's made it that far I will use it. That is the intent I think.

I fail to understand how the observation of gravitational waves (yes that's really cool news) relates to carbon dating? I have never seen any reliable study that disproves the decay of the radioactive decay of carbon. And how that would relate to the gravitational waves that originated from an event 1.8 billion light years away is foggy.

Didn't read past this because you didn't even get this right..

Pretty sure the 'book' you're referring to says "the LOVE of money is the root of all evil".. Do continue on though... Impress us further..

AV, you are very complimentary though you too could be this wise if you were to read on the subject matters.

Obviously, I'm not going to be able to answer your question as the change from single celled organisms to multicellular ones is still being researched. As an engineer this is not my focus of work so I rely on that tool I mentioned above, reading. When the scientists working on it figure it out, I'll come back here and try to explain it.

If I had to answer I would think that it had something to do with energy dispersal. All life is just a process of energy conversion, but that requires energy to enter and leave the system. The earliest cells probably had an advantage when they grew in size. However, I would imagine there is a point where the cellular walls become weak and it would be beneficial and maybe necessary to reform the wall, thus creating a separate chamber needing its own separate way to regulate the aforementioned energy transfer. The gender differences would just be an evolutionary change based on the increase in survivability of a species based on having a wide variety of chromasomal combinations. That's just a crazy idea based off things I've read though.

Edit: it's important to note that the time scale of 1-3 billion years is significant to this process.

Dolphins. They have a separate hole and, no coincidence, dolphins don't choke to death on their food.

Hahaha dang, this guy is owning you all. Seriously though, he has been really reserved and eloquent with his side of the conversation. Can't really say the same about the other side...

Yet, he continues to have an interesting, respectful exchange.

Good for you, VnB.

As for you others, shame shame.

Well help me to understand.

You are a suggesting a kid might choose a school Because he knows he will allowed to be a sexual predator.

Not saying it's not possible but not sure what kind if mind it takes to think this lawsuit could be a positive for us in that way

They also can't snap their fingers or do jumping jacks.

Edit: Not going to argue with you VnB. You've been pretty respectful and obviously we disagree on creation. I'll leave this link for you to a speaker addressing science questions regarding the God of the Bible. I think you'll find it interesting if you are in to these kind of questions...
