Friday weigh in thread (suns out guns out challenge 8/31/2025)

I had a drs appt today. Dr told me today that my weight should be around 140. He said I should try to get down to 150 before my next round of bloodwork in 3 months. I just laughed.

5'6". Was 166 this morning. I would be comfortable around 160. 150 is a stretch. 140 is impossible. I'd have to cut my friend off.

Using a weight number is not accurate when determining your healthy range. Depending on neck, waist, etc measurements, you could be 10-15 pounds over that number and actually be in a healthier range.

Good work. You got a goal in mind?

Ultimate goal is to be able to run a full marathon by my 50th birthday, which is 4 1/2 years away.

I want to get to 200 lbs. or even below. Army had my ideal weight at 187, but I was 6' when I was 19, I'm 6'2" now.

That's an awesome goal and is a very reachable goal if you take care of yourself while you training for the marathon. Good luck MG. And if you like come over the the Runner's thread and keep us updated with your progress.

I'm 6'2. I've been at 197ish for a while. Down from 260ish from about 2 years ago. One thing that helped was when I started doing a whey protien shake at bed time every night. A nutritionist told me it helps you burn carbs over night. It worked well for me so it must be true.

On Monday I weighed in at 144.

One of the "perks" of having an active autoimmune ailment, I suppose (I'm normally 10+ pounds heavier).

I'll give that a try. Thanks.

Weighed in at 212 at the start of the year. Down to around 170 now. Cut out a bunch of snacks and started running and weightlifting a bit. It's been a good year.

Bad to post weight in here if it's not Friday. Now delete your post before you're called a geek

So I think my scale is wildly inaccurate. Around the range of 5lbs or so. Not sure if I should be upset or not. I mean that means my initial measurements are off too so I have still lost the same amount of weight.

Weighed in around 3am and my weight was 290. Whey protein shake before bed. Get up this morning, eat a balance bar, drink a bottle of water, walk 2 miles, shower.

286 lbs.

not sure if my scale is accurate or if a whey protein shake before bed really does work wonders.
