Friday weigh in thread (suns out guns out challenge 8/31/2025)

I've lost about 15 pounds over the last month and a half mainly through a combination of interval training, running, and macro/calorie tracking, but it's getting cold out.

Anyone have any suggestions on how to make running outside less painful on the throat and lungs? I was running anywhere from 3-6 miles per outing up until the cold really hit last week, now I can barely get a mile and a half without wanting to choke.

I'd join a gym and run on the treadmill during the winter

That's certainly an option, but here in a few weeks I'm leaving for over a month to go to Peru (where I can run in the warmth of summer) so I don't want to spend on that quite yet.

That's the likely plan when I get back, though.

Soooo ... it's Friday and I've lost 6lbs this week.

Caught some sort of virus. Hope to gain a couple back next week.

Hmm. I run best in the cold.

The gym I use is month to month and only like $16 and some change a month. There are bunch of these economy gyms like that where you don't get locked in. Plus - a lot of them on weekends like his wave their sign up fees.

I started around 195 back in September, and I weighed in at 181.8 this morning. I've been stuck there for about three weeks now- don't know if it's because I've added a lot more weight training and I'm starting to get more muscle or what.

That happened to me for a while. I hit a wall for about 3-4 weeks the it started dropping again. Just keep it up and it will start dropping again. How much do you want to lose though?

Only about 5 or 6 more pounds. I'm 5'8" with a pretty broad build, and I'm already looking pretty skinny at 181-182. Just have a bit of a gut left.

Not really trying to lose now, but still counting calories. Just wondering where I'm going to settle out.

Observation ... waist size fluctuates about 1" for every 10 lbs for me. Does that roughly match your experience?

Nice work

Yeah that's about my experience. I'm down almost 80 and have gone from a 42 to a 34

I'm down roughly 40 and have gone from a 38 to 34. Still some variation within 34's, so some fit and some don't.

Great job on losing 80. That's awesome!!
