We lost but we still got there once every 3 years. Just getting to the game seems impossible right now.

Wow, a coach of this caliber and still no school will offer him a job, I suppose all the universites now days are ran by Fulmer Haters so thats why he can't get another coaching job. And a first ballot HOF coach to boot, sad, thats just messed up. All I know it's a good thing that Phil has a successful business and a loving family to keep him happy and he spared the great University of Tennessee future embarrassment by retiring from coaching.

How about this?......does anyone think the Vols would have done any better with Fulmer record wise the year Kiffin was in K-town? I don't.....Crompton would have never developed and the O would have been dreadful.....would he have done any better than Dooley during his tenure?....I think win loss total would be about the same as it has been and this is IF he had never left and the program had not been gutted.

Like all thing, his time has come and gone.
There is nothing you can say that will bring him back. Let it go. He's not worth it. You will get over him when Dooley wins his first SEC Championship.

The only disaster i see in the firing was the 6 million he was paid to go away.





I'm just messing with you. Phil did a very good job for several.years. He brought a lot of good memories to TN. He was very deserving of the HOF.
i was hoping he would be offered the ARKANSAS job. He was a better choice than the man they hired, imo.

If you truly want to think that Phil said No to them instead of the other way around, why hasn't there been any info released stating his position? We live in a time where information is made public knowledge within minutes of events taking place. If a HOF coach turned down a schools offer to be HC, i'm pretty sure that would be released. During our coach searches we had no problem finding info on coaches who said no to us.

You pretty much make our point, except for the fact that NO ONE hates CPF. Please find one post where someone says out and out that they HATE CPF. Other than calling us haters, you pretty much sum up what everyone else has said.....he needed to be gone, it has been a disaster since he left (not because CPF is gone but because of MH), and yes I would give my left one for another run like CPF had especially with a Coach like CDD who will stay hungry for football and not fill up on KK's. However, unlike you, we don't have blinders on and can see that even though WE have had a rough couple of years and may have one more mediocre to good year before busting out, IT IS IMPROVING! If you can't agree that the program is showing improvement from the basement that was left when Spliffin left, you need to readdress your man love for CPF, because it is apparent you have more than a great respect for OUR HOF HC.

Here is how it works:

Application in = saying you would be interested in working somewhere = showing interest in the position

Potential Employer rejection letter = No answer from Potential Employer = NO.

It's really easy. I have first hand experience of this right now.
