You know, CPF and UT aside, it's hard to beat Krispy Kremes. I see alot of Dunkin Donuts around the Tri-Cities area are popping up. You just cant beat the original glazed donut in its hot form. The chocolate covered custard filled are the bomb too.

It's hard to argue with someone over a hot Krispy Kreme and a cold glass of milk!

You pretty much make our point, except for the fact that NO ONE hates CPF. Please find one post where someone says out and out that they HATE CPF. Other than calling us haters, you pretty much sum up what everyone else has said.....he needed to be gone, it has been a disaster since he left (not because CPF is gone but because of MH), and yes I would give my left one for another run like CPF had especially with a Coach like CDD who will stay hungry for football and not fill up on KK's. However, unlike you, we don't have blinders on and can see that even though WE have had a rough couple of years and may have one more mediocre to good year before busting out, IT IS IMPROVING! If you can't agree that the program is showing improvement from the basement that was left when Spliffin left, you need to readdress your man love for CPF, because it is apparent you have more than a great respect for OUR HOF HC.

Thats the problem Glen, I think we looked better in 2009 than in 2010 and better in 2010 than 2011. And I've said a dozen times on here that it probably was time. I think it should have been thought through a little more and handled differently. Im sorry I do not think that CPF's successors are as good as he was. JMO.

Here is how it works:

Application in = saying you would be interested in working somewhere = showing interest in the position

Potential Employer rejection letter = No answer from Potential Employer = NO.

It's really easy. I have first hand experience of this right now.

so you've NEVER interviewed for a job and told them "no"???

Because if you havent, then you must be 15 yrs old. I know I've interviewed and it wasnt what I wanted. Some salary, some the hours, etc.... But I said no, not the employer. They in turn hired another person.

If your only so called proof is they hired someone else then you fail in logic.

Try taking a deep breath, sit back and relax.
You should not be getting upset over a 61 year old ex offensive line player/coach.
Like all thing, his time has come and gone.
There is nothing you can say that will bring him back. Let it go. He's not worth it.
You will get over him when Dooley wins his first SEC Championship.

By the way, I like my left testicle. I would not "give it" for TN to win 10 BCS championships.

Come on down to the shop, put in your application. Tell whoever is running the register to tell George that Big Orange 1 needs to see him. We can put you right to work. Starting pay $7.53 per hour 22 Hrs per week. I'll put you on the morning shift so you can box his daily donuts.

The only disaster i see in the firing was the 6 million he was paid to go away.

I'm just messing with you. Phil did a very good job for several.years. He brought a lot of good memories to TN. He was very deserving of the HOF.
i was hoping he would be offered the ARKANSAS job. He was a better choice than the man they hired, imo.

+1...

Sad. Still trying to convience yourself that its schools saying no thank you when its been documented that he too said no thank you to coaching. Both have refused each other.
Yawn.

You might better check that documentation and your delusional take on our ex-head coach. He's been told NO much more often than he's said it himself, but by all means, keep trying to CONVINCE YOURSELF that Fulmer is a wanted commodity. It's ok, we already knew you haven't got a clue

Its easy to show he was interested in 3 HC jobs. You show us where the school said no, not Phil.

As much as you want to think the schools said no there is an equal probability that Phil said no to the school after talking to them.

No there is not. He's not wanted despite your ignorance and delusional ravings

People... CPF backers and loyalist mainly....

can we please move on?

The guy got lucky.

He had a great DC, who was actually offered a job at a top SEC program after being let go, a great OC who was offered a job after he was let go, and players that broke records in the NFL like Manning and Lewis.

All you have to look at is the players he had in the 90's who are future NFL hall of famers and realize the guy never maximized the talent. Where are Spurriers QBs?

It is time to stop making the man seem like a better coach than he was. He won in the SEC when BAMA was down due to NCAA violations and such and the only other top team was Florida who he couldnt beat.

When other teams began playing well his record only got worse.

Let it go. All you have to look at is the fact that both his coordinators have jobs and he is still looking.

CPF was basically Dooley with a better staff and better players.

Silliness. Purely and simply. You must have typed this shat asleep. Next time, just dream instead.

Fulmer was only good because he was a great recruiter. When that started to go bad for him, he slowly descended to the bottom of the SEC and the nation in terms of prestige and in the wins column. Fulmer did win us a National Championship - I'll grant you that - but every do has its day. We need a big time coach to come in and win for us. I don't Derek Dooley can do it long term to be perfectly honest with you.

A good salesman is good because he is a good salesman. Every coach or "dog" does not win 150 games 2 SEC titles and a BCS title. But I guess I see what you mean. I think.......

The induction to the HOF isn't some sort of vindication that Fulmer was a great coach. It's an acknowledgement of a great record. In no way does it support the silly notion that he should still be our coach

Phil has been undefeated since he was fired at UT, according to some on here he has refused every school that has solicited his services.
