Make fun of the coaches I listed and their ability all you want, they are head coaches at this time and Phil is not. As far as your Tuberville jab, Texas Tech has been relevant, Kansas the school Phil sought to be the HC cannot say that.

The problem is you and some others are under the belief that Phil throws his name in the hat only to find reason to decline the opportunity. If this is happening Phil is an idiot or you guys need to accept that Phil is just not sought after.
I here you big guy.

On the bright side, we beat the powerhouse Vandy.

What happened in 2005? Oh yeah thats right they had Cutler who also lost that season to MTSU, yes thats right little sister down the road came in and whipped them in their own house. Vandy having Cutler in 2005 still make it ok that we lost at the time the longest streak in a rivalry? The Vandy loss at the time was more consecutive wins than the KY streak.

Don't forget Buffalo.

Who could forget 2008 Wyoming 13-7 win at Neyland, the same team that ended up with a 4-8 record with the Vols being their 4th and final victory of their season.

Yes we paid Phil millions when he was coach and millions after he was fired. We currently are paying a coach 1.8 million per year to try to restore the talent from a coach we were paying 2.4 million to run it into the ditch.

Nice spin on the subject as usual GMAN. Bring up the two losses that all of anti-CPF crowd hangs there hat on. Nobody ever excused CPF for losing to Vandy. And I sure as hell will never excuse CDD for losing to KY, you can throw all of the "it had to sometime"," CPF left the cupboard bare sh*& all you want to". If certain starters didnt want to play, it was THE COACHES responsibility to put their asses on the bench.

Wasn't trying to put a spin on nothing, just breaking it down with facts. Here is a question for you to answer Big Orange 1, You pick the roster that had the least amount of talent to choose from in these 3 losses.

2005 Vandy
2008 Wyoming
2011 Kentucky

Then give me your answer and you just might understand which loss made the most sense.

As the saying goes, **** happens. What about the even more talented 1996 team losing to Memphis? No, that doesn't help my defense of Fulmer, but seriously, **** happens. You be pumped up for a game when your mentor and father figure gets released just days before. So that negates that one. So, Dooley lost to the worst UK team in years, and Fulmer lost to the best Vandy team in years, but still shouldn't have. ****....happens.

You make it sound like these players didn't have any thing to play for in the Wyoming game and that best Vandy team Phil lost to had the same record as us 5-6 and beat at home by Middle TN State University.

They didn't really. But yet again, **** happens. Look at Michigan and Appy State. I'm certain that loss was exponentially worse than the three that have been brought up on here.

2011 team had the least talent. No doubt. It just concerns me that this staff couldnt get the 2011 team ready to go win what should have been a cakewalk and a much needed bowl game looming. Not to mention the longest winning streak vs another opponent in the nation. I know that upsets happen, but, Im sure you saw the game. Ridiculous. Sorry dude, I told you many posts back, I hate KY.

From 1992-2008 Kentucky has been the better football program.
KY 1992-2008 80/118 (39-97 SEC)
Vandy 1992-2008 60-126 (23-113 SEC)

What does this have to do with anything? Vanderbilt beat KY 38-8 last year. Last yrs Vandy team was far and away better than KY. Vandy beat KY with KY having their QB play even. I blame the coaching staff 100%. We should have ran them out of the stadium last yr at UK. Did you see the stands? The stadium was half empty. Even the KY fans didnt think they would beat us as bad as we were.

A pretty good case can be made that Appy was a better football team was than Wyoming.
