Do you know because I was around when Fulmer took over. He greatly improved the situation between the coaches and excelled in recruiting. The expectations changed when Fulmer took over.[/QU Sure do-one year removed from back to back SEC Championships... Two loosing seasons and NO SEC Championships!

And how many losses in a row to Bama during those runs? You complain about how Fulmer lost to Saban, but ignore that fact.

And those losing seasons were split by two 9+ win seasons. Your point?

My point-NOT consistant AND should have had a better record AND MORE CHAMPIONSHIPS! You need to go be an Ole Miss or Miss State or Kentucky fan if you are content with what Fooler had his last several years! SMACK!

Well I guess Tennessee needs to pony up some $$$$ and go get Saban.

Also by your standards should Georgia fire Richt tonight?

Still blaming a national title winning, HOF coach for our "issues" 4 years after he was booted. That alone gives those with that opinion little to zero credibility. "It's Fulmer's fault, I know it". If Gruden had been hired and had 3 losing seasons to start, it would have been all on Fulmer as well.

HOF credentials are obviously a bit loose. Check those last seven years of Fulmer's HOF accomplishments.

Let's tell the truth the people on here blasting Fulmer are the same ones who thought Lane Kiffin was the saviour. If you dont like Fulmer fine, but dont muddy his name or his rep because your sour Lane Kiffin is a douchebag and Derek Dooley sucked it big time, at least Fulmer could win an SEc game every year, at least Fulmer could win 5 games no matter what.

Au contraire, not mad at all, just pointing out some facts. Richt? He isn't the subject at all. Another state.

You made a statement that happens to be an opinion.

Fact is every coach dreams to one day make it into the HOF. Majority of the coaches will never make it. Fact

When you get some fact and get them strait get at me.

Sorta or just like going after your brothers girlfriend/wife but it's right in line with everything else you say and makes about as much sense. Now, you want to bring Richt into this then compare his last seven years to Foolmers. What do you get with those comparisons? While your doing that, and comparing them, did Foolmers teams in the SECCG compete like Richts did tonight? Nnnuuooo!

1 play away from beating LSU Final score 21-14 ranked number 12 in 2007 and he was fired in 2008. Really do you think before you post.

They also took Auburn to the wire when Auburn was the best team in the country and left out in the cold. They've competed very well overall in the SECCG.

UGA lost by 21, 32, and 4. Tennessee lost by 11, 10, and 7. I would say Tennessee competed better than UGA has in their SECCGs.

UT kept fulmer around about 3 years too long and the program is still feeling the effects

Bull****. How long do you keep blaming him for the poor performance of the last two coaches and their staff? The poor performances for the past four years are on Kiffin and Dooley.

Very true. He should be blamed only for his poor record for the last decade of his career, no SEC titles, and below UT's average seasonal wins for his last seven years.

Laughable comparisons. And the bottom line is? Moral victories that don't show up anywhere except in a "compassionate" story about their defeats? Fulmer won some moral victories, if one wants to embellish his failures, in the SECCG, but he didn't bring home the trophies. In other words, he LOST!

How the replacement coach did has nothing to do with how Fulmer was doing.

Because the Kiffin/Dooley hired didn't do well doesn't magicaly equate to Fulmer running a great program when he was fired.

No but it means that firing him was a mistake.

No way he would have been down this long. He's already have had us back on top.

I firmly believe with the right staff Fulmer would once again own the sec.

I agree.

When you get some fact and get them strait get at me.

Of course every coach wants to be a HOFer, nothing wrong with that, in fact it should be a (elusive) goal, but check those last (Fulmer) seven years and see if they qualify for HOF status. That said, I think Doug Dickey is also in the HOF, not sure if he made it as a coach or AD, so the standards are obviously a bit loose. What about your meaningless comment about Richt? Did Richt get a "moral" victory in the SECCG?

For the most part you are correct. Fulmer left the program in dire conditions, on and off the field....that under normal circumstances should have been corrected by now.

Hiring Kiffin/Dooley have not improved the product on the field. DD did clean up some of the lingering player-off campus issues, but little else.

The right hire, should be able to right this ship with noticable improvements in year 1.

Delusional dreaming. Fulmer on top against the likes of Saban, Miles, Richt? Just to name a few.

You guys got what you wanted. You wanted him fired and he was.

But look at us now. Quit cherry picking years of his record. He is 152-52. That's the one that matters.
