There are examples in this very thread of it happening the last 2 seasons.
I meant against us, only.
Fulmer won't run up the score. We don't have a over-hyped sophomore quarterback that can't throw from the pocket and should be playing fullback. Urban new that last year was Teblow's only chance at the Heisman and that he would need every touchdown he could get. With the improvements to SEC defenses and not wanting to risk injury this year, his stats won't be as impressive. Saban has no excuse. He just has no class.
Seriously, are you out of grade school yet? Meyer ran up the score because he knew in mid-September that this would be Tebow's only chance to win the Heisman? During that game he predicted better defenses this year and that Tebow would be hurt this year and so he figured ot run up the score that day to win Tebow the Heisman?
That is just ridiculous.
Lawgator, running up the score to impress your fans and pollsters is a sign of a juvenile, fledgeling program. UF's self image is built around arrogance trickling down from Spurrier. After Spurrier left, Ron Zook brought in a less arrogant mentality and was ran out before he could capitalize on his recruiting. TN HAS had opportunities to run up the score in recent years but we don't need to embarass others to feel successful. We have had a "winning culture" in football for a century. After another 20 years of similar success then the Gators will be justified in their arrogance. Until then, quit disregarding the older "storied" programs and understand your place in college football history.
Ok, I'm convinced now. Go back to watching your Saved by the Bell reruns and leave topics like this to people who are old enough to drive.
