Fulmer Debate II

What took you so long to insult CPF with a garbage post? Perhaps you could at least spell better.

Sorry about the spelling. Sometimes my big fingers hit the wrong letters on this phone. I'm glad to know we here at VN have grammer police patrolling the threads!

The only part Tennessee, that might have agreed with the firing of CPF, is Memphis and Haterville.

No, there were a lot of people and fans calling for his firing! All of the sports talk show callers and especially those calling in on the post game shows! But, I guess you and the other Fulmerites didn't listen.

Yeah, the whopping 20 callers (who call every day) who have nothing better to do with their days constitutes EVERYONE. The loudest voices are the vocal minority.

Well Hell, I didn't know talk show callers were asking for Fulmers job! That changes every F#cking thing! Those people really know what they are talking about.

Where you been who? You gotta tell us what Vicky is planning for Thanksgiving..

During his last 5 years EVERYONE was calling for him to be gone! All the post game shows, all the fans and even the boosters! You guys rely on his record which the bulk came when he took over an already established program! It's not like he took over a program that's in the shaoe it is now and built it into a power. Rather he did the opposite!

So that's why you had people like Manning, and other fans & boosters who were former players, buying ads saying to keep Fulmer, right? That's why one of the bigger boosters to the program had been publicly saying it was a major mistake, right? Newsflash: the world isn't you and your uncle ricky bob.

Just by people feeling they had to do that tells you the state the program was in. Now, it would have been dumb, stupid and/or ignorant to do what Nebraska did with Solich. They had been what, two years removed from the NC game and just finished an 8/4 record? Now, their AD did a bonehead thing but it was way past time for Fulmer to go!

Yeah, we could have enjoyed losing seasons so much sooner! Wa-hoo! We could have had 6-loss and 7-loss seasons in 2003, 2004, 2006 and 2007; who needs those SEC East wins, 9-win and 10-win seasons in between, and ranked seasons, anyway, right?

fulmer stopped recruiting and had mediocre records---it was time for a change. Unfortunately, hamilton made terrible hires.

Is that the same biggest booster that has publicly stated that he does not want UT to be known "as a football school like bama" but instead more of an academic school like VA?

Isn't VA winless this year? How is bama doing?

You forgot those years we (tied) for the SEC East. I'm sorry but a typical "9" win season just isn't going to cut it when you're getting blown out by your rivals and playing 13-14 games a season. That's almost like being content with a 6-7 win season with a 10 game schedule like years ago. Never mind the backdooring into two SECCG.

A certain QB named Boyd would disagree.

Who's to say Boyd would have been what he is now had Fulmer stayed and he played here? What about that freshman class of RB's in 01? They all became huge dissapointments and we were reminded of that which Williams and Brown when we faced off agains Auburn!
