Fulmer is still the best name.

And fulmer hasnt been coaching in the past several years. So what.

The SEC has been rediculously strong for more than the past 4 years. Fulmer got swept up by Tubbs, Meyer, Saban, Spurrier, Richt, and Miles. Far cry from schlubs like Danny Ford, Dinardo, Ray Goff, Brad Scott, Jim Donnan.

Are you retarded? Ron Zook? It is undeniable fact that spurrier's offenses, the only thing he bothers with, have collectively been very mediocre.

And since you say everything in my post is false, douchebag, why don't you point out what was false?

So Ron Zook deserves the credit? Okay.

Spurrier's had one or two good years and a lot more 8-5 type seasons...he's a guy that has a better record than he deserves because of the defensive side of the ball he has nothing to do with...his offenses collectively have been average at best. The SEC is the best conference in the country now, and was the best conference in the country in the nineties as well. Bama was consistently strong, as was Georgia, as was Auburn, and fla obviously...in the 90's the sec had 5 teams in the top 25 for the decade...aub tn bama fla ga...in the 00's they had 5 teams as well just trade lsu f bama.

When we won the title, Bama was 7-5 and Auburn was 3-8. Facing Jim Donnan and Mike DuBose is not the same as going up against guys like Saban and Miles. And Fulmer made it painfully obvious that he was going to let those guys stomp all over him.

So you think Spurrier doesn't deserve credit for making South Carolina a competitive SEc team? Lol!!!!

not really...sec under fulmer, sagarin ratings: 98 fwd as far back as they go...3/2/4/1/2/2/4/4/1/2/1

spurriers offense mediocre at best.......ha ha ha ha ha ha ha. and i dont care for spurrier but you are defeating yourself with this stuff

Spurrier wasn't the one who made Florida or Duke or South Carolina good. It was all about his defensive coaches. All the credit should go such coaching heavyweights as Ron Zook and Bob Pruett.

Had consecutive losing seasons, 9-13, his last 2 yrs...he would never have been fired under any circumstances for taking them from futility U to nat'l relevance...but make no mistake he went out on a losing note..

Bill Snyder chose to retire after the 2005 season. Fulmer was fired for lack of results. There's a big difference between the two.

All I see are numbers with nothing to relate them to.

Tell yourself whatever you want, but the SEC in the 90s was nothing compared to what it is today.

Maybe we should just hire Ellis Johnson from Southern Miss. Yeah, they're 0-11, but he was the DC at South Carolina so he was definitely the brains behind Spurrier's whole operation.

we are talking about south carolina knucklehead...keep up...and yes, their success in columbia is mostly due to the defensive side of the ball...you want me to post usc's scoring ranks since spurrier has been there?

And Georgia was 10-2, Fla was 10-2, and Arkansas 9-3. When Bama won the title tennessee and auburn sucked. So what? Is this what passes for a logical argument in your world?

I just deal in facts, partner...here are usc's collective offensive ranks under spurrier starting with 2005...it is very obvious the relative success that they have had has come on the backs of the defenses, something sos has no hand in...

83/21/71/97/103/37/42/41

i may be weak, but nobody wants him, except maybe bama fans so they can have their pick of the litter regarding seats in our stadium like in 2008, nobody wants him

Fulmer 11-4 vs Bama. It was Spurrier that gave CPF trouble get your fact strait before you go off 1 game.:bash:

South Carolina had 8+ wins in four of those seasons. Want to guess which four?

I like how you conveniently skipped over the last two sentences of what I said.

When will this silliness stop?

Soon..................

2005.

Yeah, we also got destroyed by our rivals 100 to 37 that year.

The man had 2 bad years out of 13 and not even back to back years. Remember two losing seasons in 13 years and Never back to back. He may not be the best hire or maybe he is, but regardless the Tennessee fans owe the man respect. He gave his all for the university and gave a our 1st NC since 51'. If you want to judge him on his bad give him credit for his good. In 2007 we were one play from winning the SEC and the team that would go on to become the NC.

:good!:
