'17 GA ATH DeAngelo Gibbs

Our secondary is filled with young talent. Not saying Gibbs wouldn't get a chance at playing time here at Tennessee but it's not like we're in a situation where we desperately need Gibbs for depth purposes. We'll be fine.

The recruitment of Higgins isn't over yet.

I don't want him now after the stunt he's pulled to go to Clemson anyhow. The way he handled it is like a child in which he's a teenager so not far from.

He can stay at Clemson for all I care. We will get our share of players similar to him in the future in return. I do admit he's close to a once in a lifetime WR though. I just don't want him after what he's done now.

We're not hurting at the secondary position. It'd be different if we actually "needed" Gibbs. Do I want Gibbs? Yes. Will we be doomed if we don't land him? No.

I agree with you buddy. It's not the end of the world if Gibbs decides to sign with GA. It's really not like some people are acting like. There are other DB's that we can get that will end up being just as good if not better in the end. Thanks!

That's fine. But it's foolish to not realize that it's SEC football. Ridiculous depth can become a positional liability in the course of a few plays. Then that need would absolutely be there.

I told you to keep the faith a few days ago...

Man you sure you guys aren't getting milked? I mean, you're really swimming against the current on this one. I hope you're right just because I don't want kirb getting anymore brags, not because I think we have to have DG so bad.

100% truth...I see it and feel it every day...they have brought in a whole new crop of off the record donors that have not been involved in that side of the program before

The problem Kirby is going to run into is that UGA isn't Bama. Saban has the NCAA President in his hip pocket where anything goes in Tuscaloosa. Doubt Kirby will get the same treatment in Athens.

Exactly. He doesn't have Saban's hand to hold anymore. Time for him to put on his big boy panties and prove to the UGA fan base that he can succeed as a head coach. Would be hilarious to see him run down that program to the ground.

One of the first things Kirby did was lobby to change the privacy laws for students on campus to ensure that incidents on campus stay under wraps for I believe 6 months before they become public knowledge. He won this when the vote happened.

Bama and I believe Florida have similar laws explaining why their situations seem to stay so quiet.
