'19 GA OLB Roman Harrison (Tennessee signee)

When Alabama starts recruiting two-stars and gets them coached up to the NFL I’ll start believing they are anything more than a glorified IMG Academy. Guys like Pruitt and Muschamp have taken nobodies and turned them into real players. Haven’t seen Kirby do that.

So he not a tweener like Anderson?

Anderson is 2 inches taller and 20 pounds heavier. That makes him too big to be a linebacker as he will likely gain weight and the coaches must not like his skill set for a 3-4 end. He could still be a great player, but not what the coaches want. Hopefully doesn't kill us when we have to play him.

I guess. I think this generation, much moreso than past ones, is wrapped up in the idea of the super team. These are the kids that watched what Lebron did in Miami and have watched NFL stars take less money to go get rings with the Patriots. I think that this staff has a very, very small window within which to convince top prospects that they are capable of winning championships and if they don't show something in year 1 they will just become another lost voice in the crowd to all but the most orange-blooded of in-state kids and legacies.

If any of these kids have common sense then they know this isn’t a two year rebuild like GA was...I kind of take your comment a little unfair towards this coaching staff.

This kid had an 88 rating on 247...that’s a high 3*....he has excellent measurables for his projected position...I expect ESPN and Rivals will have him in the high 3* range before long as well...I’m not sure what’s not to like about this pickup

Someone that weight with a 39" vertical. I don't care what the stars say, if he can play at all he's a take. SVJ is one of the best indicators of athleticism / genetic potential.

We will run a 4-2-5 about 80% of the time. Also whenever we run a 3/4 one lb is blitzing so it will be the same... slight adjustment

I'll take a CJP 3* before I take a Butch 3* all day, everyday, twice on Sunday, in all 50 states and 3 territories.

This is all that needs to be said.

.....who had his best season as a freshman and was only marginally above average his remaining seasons at Tennessee. There’s a reason why Bama wins titles.....recruit and sign the most talented players in the country and coach em up better than most everybody else. Deal doesnt seem to work optimally unless you fulfill both parts of the equation.....coaching up good players won’t do it imo. We need much more physically talented players than we’ve had here in awhile save a handful of guys like Barnett and Kamara and now Smith. In short, we’ve gotta win recruiting battles with Bama, UGA, Auburn, Ohio State and Clemson to get our share of the same players they’re going after.

I don't know how you can say this kid isn't physically talented. He has SEC level size for an OLB and is strong enough to hold his own at nose tackle. If you believe his numbers he's an athletic freak. His weight room numbers compare well to some highly rated OL recruits in the class who are much bigger. And his vertical and 40 time would compete with a lot of DBs and running backs who are much smaller. He is raw and is playing out of position (which may speak to his competitive character) so yes he may be a little bit of a "reach". But physically and athletically I don't think you can say he's on a lower level than what those other schools are recruiting. The rest comes down to if you believe we have the coaches who can develop him.
