Makes perfect sense. Coaches coach and develop, scouts look for talent and journal to the masses for money. The two aren’t on equal footing, in the ballpark, or even the same sport when comparing and evaluating talent. This irony is lost on many folks. We respect coaches wanting to see kids in person but roll eyes when scouts want to? Makes sense. I think it makes good sense for any and all people evaluating human athleticism to want to see them in person. Film be grainy dude.
You are going to defend “journalist” scouting services as validation for player rankings, you’ve held firm to that point. What is irony is one can believe that universities are corrupt and throw bags, yet not believe recruiting services aren’t dirty.
