'20 GA QB Harrison Bailey (UT SIGNEE)

The Qb position is the most important on offense. Mauer nor Shrout, has not had the reps with the 1's that JG has. JG has not improved enough to this point to warrant to continue to play without letting the freshman get experience. I am not saying JG shouldn't even start BYU but if he struggles by all means they should at least let the freshman get some reps. Maybe Mauer or Shrout actually improve once given the chance in live action. At least it let's JG know if you don't make enough plays you will be coming out. Can't wait for Bailey to get to Knoxville. GBO!

Relative to each's competition level, yeah. St. Joseph's is in the top .01% of all high school programs nationwide. GSU is in the bottom 10% of all NCAA football programs.

Don't be so dense.
It was a joke...

And I'm pretty sure you knew that.

Don't waste your life taking shots at people you don't even know.

Apologies if it was a joke. It seemed like you were trying to draw the parallel that Bailey’s success came against a HS team, as if to say that lessened his accomplishment, and further excused JG’s play.

You have had some bizarre takes around here so it didn’t seem like a stretch.

By saying ST Joe's was better??
That makes no sense.

And excuse JGs play? Uhm I'm pretty sure my take on Brian Maurer's ability is one of these supposed "weird takes" you're speaking of. I have been one of the most anti- JG posters on here...

Evidently you don't know a thing about me, to even form a proper opinion.

Well, your original post was pretty vague, but it seemed as if you were saying St Joe’s was “better” in a sarcastic manner, and “excusing JGs play” was poor wording on my part. A better way of putting it would be to say it felt as if you were using JGs stat line vs Ga St as a means of taking a shot at Bailey’s performance against St. Joe’s. Clearly, I misread your intent, which I already admitted.

That being said, I know plenty about your spotty post history involving strange takes. One of the most infamous being your hardline stance on how good of a RB Maleik Gray was going to be at Tennessee despite the fact that we were never recruiting him as such.

We can keep taking shots at each other, or you can just accept my apology for misreading your intent, and move along. Your move.

They need to lock up a second QB in this class if Bailey is going to come in and start. I'd think one or both of the underclassmen QBs would certainly be out the door.

my bad, thought he was a grad transfer. though, i do think you still need more than 2 serviceable QBs on a roster.

Everyone here knows that Maliek Grey thing was hyperbole except for you. This has been covered ad nueseam. He wasn't even playing RB at the time. The whole thing was to egg De1Conley on... Your lack of having recognition skill is not my fault.

I'm not accepting your backhanded "apology". Go kick rocks. Be a man and say what you feel.

LOL 😂...okay. I guess I t’s convenient to say that after the fact with how foolish it was at the time. I’d bring up some of your classics, too, but watching you fumble thru excusing those away like you attempted with your pitiful M. Gray take will only be equally sad.

That what Kasim Hill was all about...and now there are plenty of scholarships. 😏

JG is not a bad quarterback, but he's like the soldiers in the first 30 minutes of Saving Private Ryan: just totally shellshocked. He's been knocked on his ass every other snap for three years and its majorly affected the clock in his brain. it feels beyond repair at this point. having a new O coordinator every year only makes it worse. the sad part is, had he gone to a team with even just competent line play during his career who knows what the ceiling would be. its clear he can't consistently be the guy, but i do feel bad for him in a way. its hard to believe he knew what he was signing up for.
It seems that by now he would have gotten the idea that he was going to have to do something to keep his ass from getting knocked on the ground. But he just keeps doing the same old stuff.

UT is pretty far down the college level while Marietta is pretty high up there. If you are going to make a comparison see it thru.
311 and a positive td/turnover ratio are not reasons you lose the game.

I just find it difficult to call one qb better than another because of a team win/loss. Even with last second drives to seal it a better performance wouldnt have left them in the spot to need it.

Look at dukes last qb. Didnt win a lot of games but got taken in the first round. May have been way early for his talent but dont tell his bank account that.

I say go ahead and put Kasim Hill on scholarship then work his way into the lineup. And get him in that 11 Jersey because 20s numbers for a QB not named Heath Shuler looks atrocious

It wasn’t the line’s fault on the laser that was the first pass of the game to Chandler. It’s on him, he needs to put touch on the ball. And the same with the pass on 4th down to Palmer, no touch on it either. He was off target early and often and he had plenty of time to throw the ball. He didn’t see the blitz coming from the corner which led to the fumble. He has to see the defense cheating over to cover it and he completely missed it. I could continue but I won’t.
And that would be the 3rd or 4th time he has missed a corner blitz to his backside. As a 4th year junior he should be able to see the coverage at this point. You can pretty much count on every team he plays against throwing that blitz t him
