'20 GA QB Harrison Bailey (UT SIGNEE)

UT is pretty far down the college level while Marietta is pretty high up there. If you are going to make a comparison see it thru.
311 and a positive td/turnover ratio are not reasons you lose the game.

I just find it difficult to call one qb better than another because of a team win/loss. Even with last second drives to seal it a better performance wouldnt have left them in the spot to need it.

Look at dukes last qb. Didnt win a lot of games but got taken in the first round. May have been way early for his talent but dont tell his bank account that.
Guarantano stalled drives that resulted in FGs while his opponent managed TDs. Ga St scoring TDs isn't on JG, but his inability to make plays on 3rd down in the red zone was on him.

• 69 of those 311 yards and a TD came on a meaningless drive in the final minute of the game.

• Even with that irrelevant score to his credit, he still didn't have a positive TD:TO ratio, as you claimed. He had 2 TDs and 2 TOs. He was fortunate to not have to eat another pick in the endzone that was nullified, and the first TO was as much on him as it was Chandler for a lack of anything resembling touch on the throw. He was fortunate to be even in that dept.

• JG still has little to no awareness in the pocket. He is numb to the pass rush coming from his blindside, and holds the ball in the pocket as if he has all day and playing behind the Dallas Cowboys OLine.

Defend him all you want, but you'll find few who agree with you. And again, I'm not saying he is the entire reason we lost, but he is part of the problem. Simply citing his stats doesn't really tell the whole story.

I talked to Ramel Keyton’s uncle today to ask about feelings his nephew has around the program. Stated that guys are not fully bought in and the coaches are a bit bewildered. Not earth shattering, but this is: Harrison Bailey is “looking around.” @GaTechVol can confirm. Remember, he went by the school and filmed the commitment and he made friends with a couple of the assistants there. Not looking good for us on Arik, either.

I agree but for some reason for the last 3 or 4 yrs we have dicked off against lesser teams ie appy st, bowling green, Utah state, Toledo etc. and this time we got caught in it. I agree with the qb situation to an extent but for some reason we can not go out and beat the shjt out of a team. Playing to many players to make them happy? Do not want to embarrass an opponent? Underestimate your opponent? Do you think Maryland and penn state cared they scored 79 points on someone? You get them down you choke them out plain and simple and we do not and have not had it in a while consistently.
