Definitely not misleading. They do have a lot of homeless people but that's misleading considering LA has 4Million people and Knox 190,000. I have visited Hollywood and it's awesome but no way in hell I'd live their. But I wouldn't move up North to the cold either.
They will be in the big ten playing in cold ass weather half the yr. They better get a lot tougher fast. And as far as bright lights go, it sure won’t be at their own stadium.
Definitely not misleading.
42K homeless people (LA) in 500 sq miles compared to 1.2K-2K in 100 sq miles (Knoxville)
If you count metro, LA is close to 70K
I mean we are talking about literally the nations worst homeless problem and you are saying that it is misleading to say that it is worse than Knoxvilles. I’m not saying it has anything to do with his decision. Just commenting on your wild takeDefinitely misleading, I personally don't care about homeless rates and doubt college kids do either. I wouldn't base my college choice off that and very few kids would either. Sad thing is Knox has had a 50% increase in homeless rates the past year and getting worse. I feel sorry for anyone homeless and 1 is too many. Some kids love the smaller town college feel, while others need a big city to share what they had for dinner last night.

Great weather almost year round, hotter women (albeit more fake), liberal culture which is what most young people want, significantly more posh, and better nightlife. That’s just from the perspective of younger folks but if you have the money, LA’s probably much more preferable for 18 to 22 year olds. They don’t have anything to offer that we can’t, other than the beach obviously. Both schools have a good qb, good offense, team on the up. Only thing that LA has that Knoxville doesn’t is the smog, crime, bad politics and traffic. USC isn’t located in Manhattan Beach!
Y’all really think a kid is thinking about the taxes he’s gonna pay? LolWithout taxes? Property taxes, sure (if he lives on campus or apartment), but he'll be paying income tax on that NIL money.
I’m Tennessee born and raised but if you did a survey of kids across the US and asked whether you would rather live in Southern CA or Knoxville, Southern Cal would win hands down. Might not be the right choice but, I will bet you that’s the way the poll would go.
Man they saying Matthews is going to be another Heisman like Bush.
They just now had Addison go in round 1.
You all don't know what they have to sell out here.
Y'all thinking of cost of living and all that crap, these kids are being set to live like kings in Los Angeles with a top notch education. Then they go wherever they want.
Look, I've went to college in Tennessee, Texas, and California. I'm telling you all it's different out here.
If Tennessee holds on to Matthews then I'd be super shocked.
I'm being facetious about Boo Carter ( i have no inkling regardless UM or UT) but when it comes to USC and who they recruit....when they really want someone they'll get them more times than not.
i'm sure the cost of gas and property assessment costs are going into Mike's decision.Of course he will pay more in California for those things the university doesn’t pay for like $666 a gallon gas and any non campus food and other items he buys that cost more in California.
The cost of living on items not paid for by the university is higher in California.
Of course there is also the opportunity to play in front of 100k fans instead of 60k….I love Tennessee and wish all the great recruits would come to Knoxville but if I was a high school player from like Texas and the choices were USC or Tennessee i’m taking LA and Southern Cal all day over Tennessee. Great beaches , beautiful women and a much bigger club and nightlife scene. If Lincoln Riley can ever find a defense to go with that offense then USC can win a natty in the next few years.
