There are 4 games left in regular season so there is that and the reason for my comment .15+ turnovers per game is no way to enter the post season I do not care who you are ......South Carolina,Stanford ,etc. Sure way to lose against teams like Auburn,Florida,UCANT,or anyone else .Fact is this game today would have been a loss if Vandy had shot the ball at a 35 % rate.About over? March is coming up in 2 weeks. A lot to be played yet..
While I agree, I still think Rae was in the flow with the team on all aspects of this game more than she has been since she has been back. She didn't go charging into a crowd of players, frequently passed the ball rather than take an ill advised shot, played good team defense, and got some rebounds. Yes, her 3 point shots weren't falling today but this is the aspect of her game that I am least concerned about compared to the other melding with team issues.Obvious that Rae Burrell's balance is off slightly. Not like she was last season injury still somewhat of a problem.
That is her biggest limitation of her game at this point. She doesn't take advantage on the offensive side of her incredible wing span for rebounding, catching the ball (that's on her teammates too), and shooting. The opposing team knows she will be bring the ball low so they are ready to swat it , tie it up, or a few have even blocked it. I remember she said in one postgame interview that she appreciated Karoline's ethic to quickly get your hands above your head when you are rebounding or shooting at the post. I hope she moves past appreciation to doing it!!!She was doing that more early in the season and then last few games is bringing it down to shoot and here comes the hands of the smaller players. She is in a huge slump right now coaches don't seem to be helping her get out of it.
We still make lazy passes and dribble the ball off our feet but if refs would do what they supposed to do and call the reach in and slapping fouls that are committed the whole game our TOs would go down.Well today I have only one comment : the season is just about over and I thought by this time in the season there would be a vast improvement in turnovers .....but I was wrong .

I would like to see coach KH get after the refs more to protect Key inside. If she would stay in the refs ear the whole game I think Key would get more fouls called for her.Part of the problem is how they feed Tamari.
If the ball comes in low the smaller players simply collapse on her and take it before she can get it up.
You have to feed her high, and then she has to keep it high.
Another problem is getting her base set when she receives the ball. That can't always be done, but taking a dribble to realign just isn't possible most of the time so you have to have your move ready, and your feet set properly for it before you receive the ball.
It's tough when they get to shove you off balance as they did several times in this game without any calls being made. Once they called Key for a travel when Vandy shoved her while she had the ball. Not a thing in the world you can do about that other than turn the film into the league for them to ignore.
Walker and Miles are short enough that they have trouble judging how to lob the ball in, Horston does a better job of it. But they can all improve if it is made a priority.
Sometimes the passes to her are too low.If Key played as big on offense as she does on defense she’d be “All-everything“. Yes, she gets mauled some, but too often brings the ball down, or just loses control of the ball.
if she’d just keep the ball high and turn and shoot off of her wrists she would average 20 a game. She has the length to shoot over most teams.
Because Lobo works for espn and they run the sec network, but she was in the studio with Andy Landers after the game. So no she’s not at home getting ready for the SBNot being sarcastic in asking but, why would Lobo be calling a TN Lady Vols game?
She's probably at home getting ready for the SB today.

You are 100 % correct but when refs do not call them like in the auburn, fla Vandy games ,etc.adjustments have to be made in how they handle the pressure. We still make lazy passes and dribble the ball off our feet but if refs would do what they supposed to do and call the reach in and slapping fouls that are committed the whole game our TOs would go down.
Andrea Carter spoke quite a bit in the game wrap up about LV turnovers. She said LVs were going to be a 16-17 TO team. They could still improve on that but The goal would need to be to keep the defense and rebounding strong. She also differentiated between turnovers that led to an opponents quick score vs those where we could get back in defense. She had a name for those type of turnovers. One of the gurus can tell you that. I’ve forgotten the term she used. There are 4 games left in regular season so there is that and the reason for my comment .15+ turnovers per game is no way to enter the post season I do not care who you are ......South Carolina,Stanford ,etc. Sure way to lose against teams like Auburn,Florida,UCANT,or anyone else .Fact is this game today would have been a loss if Vandy had shot the ball at a 35 % rate.
