VOLS have got one of the best AD's in the country (if not the best) and if he decides to make that move, I think he would chose well. With the exception of Women's basketball, it seems almost all VOLS sports (whether rowing or whatever) are healthy --top 25.I would say if your happy with a third or fourth place finish in the SEC and a quick trip to the NCAA then Kellie is your coach. This is year four so this is her team and they do not look good playing a basketball game. 23 turnovers is pathetic against any team. I don't know what the AD will do maybe nothing, but I don't think she is going to be the answer for Tennessee to get back to the elite in women's basketball. You can make a move after another season or two or whenever not going to get there with her. To many on the team are low energy stand around bad decision making players. Hard to say where we would be if Jackson had chosen another team. Were going to have to make a move and it better be a good one if we want to get back to being elite in women's basketball or we can be willing to accept this. We can give her seven years like Holly she is trending in the same direction. Or we can go ahead and get another coach after this season. I guess we will find out what direction we take soon enough.
You seem hopeful she will leave. Are you that desperate to be “right” about replacing our coach?
Also, there is no way you are under 70. You just have that old guy crabby vibe and who in the hell cares about Johnny Majors. He was a drunk and did nothing for the program as coach.
Defense has been and is the problem. This team doesn't have a lot of energy and decision making is a flat 0.Having only Hollingshead at the post-game. Isn't there always 2 players with Kellie? Asking about free throws was the first question. UT shot 84% 37 of 44 and Jill said could have done better. Umm no. Missed layups and 23 TO was the key. This sugar coat after every game is pure BS. Get real. Mississippi State scored 34 and 58 the last 2 games to unranked teams. 68 to UT and obviously 91 total. UCONN after UT stuggled to beat Villanova and Providence with 64 and 63 points. Had 84 on UT. Mississippi State against UGA had 32, yet 68 against UT. The girls are slow with wide open layups. Kellie apparently refuses and is stubborn on her starting line-up. Also won't play zone with the lack of speed with Darby Puckett and her darling starter Striplin. Time to light her up with why? Kellie needs to answer these questions? It's embarrassing to be quite honest. Dawn and South Carolina will prove that. If she starts Striplin against South Carolina I will personally be writing AD White with facts he won't be able to deny.
I have followed the Lady Vols since I was 16 … I coached with the same philosophy and discipline as Coach Summitt did , at the high school level.. My biggest pet peeve was fundamentals which was stressed everyday in practice.. I’m watching this Tennessee team lack fundamental skills both on the offensive end and defensive end .. and the selfishness of these players have been evident in the past couple games I’ve been able to watch , last night included.. It’s truly sad to see this program dive down to the depths it has become for a long time .. I know , along with most of you , that finding someone to take over after Coach Summitt would be difficult if not impossible the first 3-5 years .. however, recruiting, fundamental skills , and discipline, should have never lost its way during this process .. especially with two coaches who played under Pat and one who coached with her as well .. I really like Holly and Kelly , but just don’t think they were or are the right fit to bring this Tennessee program back to being relevant in the nation again .. I just hate where this program is right now , but I will never stop being a Lady Vol fan.. I wear my orange and blue proudly here in Ohio and will continue to hope and pray this program returns to a national power once again! Go Lady Vols !
Indiana coach, Florida Gulf Coast coach, Curry at Bama(coaches circles around Kellie), unfortunately Hammon isnt an option. This board knows womens basketball so would love to hear names when I wake up tomorrow.
Also a male isn't necessarily the best option obviously but people on here will likely go crazy if UT dared hired a male. Just go get the best option. But Geno, Tara, Mulkey isn't an option so who is. Would love to see an honest list amongst us Lady Vols fans. I would need to sleep on it, but not sure there is someone clear cut to run this program.
Good.....It is frustrating in so many ways to watch. Can’t add anything that hasn’t already been posted about our play.
I need to step back and take a break from Lady VOLS basketball. Until the SEC tourney, I think I will just watch other teams where I just want to see good basketball and not invested in who wins. Indiana vs Iowa should be fun to watch and there are other good matchups coming up.
I fear both Justin and Sara are gone after this season. Sara doesn't even get a chance to get in the flow of a game. And notice she is Constantly looking back at the bench knowing she is about to be taken out after 3 minutes. She looks so confused at times. She doesn't have a roll or unsure if it. She came to play basketball, not watch. IMOVOLS have got one of the best AD's in the country (if not the best) and if he decides to make that move, I think he would chose well. There was high expectations for the lady VOLS - they were top five, Key's injury should not have destroy the team even with the extreme schedule.. The eye test shows that they are not improving and it's more then just being tired.
Justine Pissottl didn't even play last night. She was suppose to be a crown jewel. Is she not getting it or being taught? In comparison you look at the three star Awaka who just turned 18 on the men's team-- he's showing signs of being a superstar- There are complaints about Rick Barnes/NCAA tournament results-- but there is little argument against the fact that he's an amazing teacher and makes the players NBA ready. With the girls team, we are just seeing regression.
A double overtime loss to a team with a 10-2 home record (one of those being to South Carolina according to announcers).

Playing looking over your shoulder isn’t good- which means you’re playing scared to not make a mistake. Not playing and being away from home as a freshman isn’t good. Last thing Justine needs is self doubt.I fear both Justin and Sara are gone after this season. Sara doesn't even get a chance to get in the flow of a game.
