Oh, they will be barking at RJ. I will promise you that much.

They are still mad about that whole deal.
I think RJ is going to go off in this game…..Side note, MSU gives up points to good wing players this year, there are a few candidates beyond RJ who could have a big game also, someone like Puckett I think.

Exactly. I wasn't articulate about my point regarding fatigue in my post in which the fatigue dialogue came from. It is a fairly universal concept that it is really difficult to maintain focus, energy, and motivation throughout every basketball game for an entire season. Even the best teams tend to have games at this time of year in which they don't seem to show up mentally (UT men vs. Florida for example). I do think getting a whole week between games can help players recover mentally as well as have time more time to practice individually as well as a team. I don't like it that 3 straight SEC opponents have had a full week off before playing us while we had not any week off from games. Hopefully, the Lady Bulldogs :) will be all bark and no bite.

Truth!

People tend to view these young women as basketball players only instead of young human women who are merely playing basketball to the best of their ability while trying to live a whole complicated, busy, stressful life at the same time. Young college students have a lot on their plates, and it can be particularly stressful for high-level athletes to find the time and energy to fit in all they need to fit in just to do well in class.

Something (mostly men) rarely, if ever, even think about is the fact that women's bodies literally bleed for one quarter of every month during their menstrual cycles, and length of cycle, severity of the cramps, amount of blood loss and the general ways in which the woman is affected physically and emotionally for one week out of every month, varies widely.

Granted, the cycles of many high-level athletes are distorted and/or shortened for some reason, but the fact that women have some pretty crazy stuff happening to them, and endure it in silence, every single month of their lives from about age 12 to upwards of 60, is something that doesn't get nearly enough consideration when angry fans are doling out insults about "low energy."

Many of our women athletes have a huge problem to deal with for several days each month. Just remember that, guys.

Darby shouldn’t have to beg for five seconds to get the ball when she’s open like that.

Actually, strike that, Darby shouldn’t have to beg to get the ball when she’s open like that.

Offense is not setting any plays, just dribbling around waiting for something to happen.

Defense is missing team swaps of players and not getting to spots on time.

If State coach was smart he would put a box in one on Darby like UConn did with Cooke ?

Dayum, Ma’am. That fact occasionally brushes my subconscious but a huge factor, I’m sure.

If the Lady Vols would run an offense , it would free up open shots.. not sure why they don’t run more offensive sets .. this team would be dangerous if they ran an actual offense and was more patient.. And can do much better on the defense end ..🤷🏻‍♀️ 🏀.. this will be a close game , unfortunately..

Can someone please explain why they handle the ball screen with the post player the way they do? She stays close to the basket and we give up drive after drive and never adjust.
