Truth!

People tend to view these young women as basketball players only instead of young human women who are merely playing basketball to the best of their ability while trying to live a whole complicated, busy, stressful life at the same time. Young college students have a lot on their plates, and it can be particularly stressful for high-level athletes to find the time and energy to fit in all they need to fit in just to do well in class.

Something (mostly men) rarely, if ever, even think about is the fact that women's bodies literally bleed for one quarter of every month during their menstrual cycles, and length of cycle, severity of the cramps, amount of blood loss and the general ways in which the woman is affected physically and emotionally for one week out of every month, varies widely.

Granted, the cycles of many high-level athletes are distorted and/or shortened for some reason, but the fact that women have some pretty crazy stuff happening to them, and endure it in silence, every single month of their lives from about age 12 to upwards of 60, is something that doesn't get nearly enough consideration when angry fans are doling out insults about "low energy."

Many of our women athletes have a huge problem to deal with for several days each month. Just remember that, guys.

I betcha they’ve not synched on the court bc they haven’t synced during the month! 🙃

At least the Lady Vols are making FT. So far 6 of 6. Other than that fairly ugly 1st Q. Doubt Kellie plays Horston in the 2nd so hopefully some others step up besides Jackson. If I were the Mississippi State coach I would box and 1 on Jackson and make someone else beat them.

Oh my word. All that work getting a steal and then that shot at the front of the rim. Why? Just why? You’ve in transition ahead of the defense, with some advantage. Find options, work together, find someone!
