I agree. Like many, I wanted Holly to work out, because it's a great thing to have UT alums/former players as coaches and keeping the tie to Pat was special. But it's obvious that Holly isn't HC material. Many assistant coaches aren't. That said, I don't think there's a snowball's chance Holly resigns. I think we'd find a place for her, but I don't think she'll go gracefully.

I don't know if they will just look at this season as one bad season or just ahead and make that change as soon as the season is over.

If she doesn't go, all the players including the walkons may transfer.

Russell did some work early. She looked a lot stronger, and had more presence in this one. I wish we could have seen her under Pat. Selfish, I know, but I feel like she would be a bit tougher around the rim.

Graves played great as a freshman, and DeShields was the National Freshman POY. Carter played better as an underclassman by far. Russell was all set to blossom after finally getting healthy.

It's almost as if something or someone is sucking the life out of these players. Who..could..it..be?

I really hate for us to wait so long that the team will be in rebuilding mode for the next coach. I think there are coaches that could take the talent on this team and turn them into a top five team. The way we are recruiting we could be at the bottom of the SEC soon.

Well I would start with Holly and the staff because as players regress and we lose games it seems that the evidence points totally to them.

I think UT's hands were tied after Pat's retirement. If they'd picked someone else and UT floundered then they're responsible for ruining the program, and there'd be a lot of flak about their decision making. If they had picked Holly and she won big, so much the better. We're just in the other scenario where Holly's having a hard time leading the program to the Final Four and this year is in a mess worse than any we've seen in decades.

That is his real account, I follow him on twitter. That's the first I've seen him unload on holly like that, not that she doesn't deserve it. he makes good points, which is what a bunch of us have already noticed for awhile now and it's also what the recruits are noticing

They come out looking horrible because Holly coaches the greatness out of them! They're doing her plays, they're focusing on how she wants them to play. She doesn't care about what their weaknesses and strengths are as players, all she cares about is her way of coaching. These young women are not getting developed like they should and if I were any good as a high school player, I would not look twice at Tenn.! If I were already at Tenn. and had some years left, I would transfer out if Holly stays as coach.

You're right, but the rest of the team can't throw it in the ocean. Without her we score 35 as a team maybe. Tell me who else can score when we play a half court style of one-on-one. Holly's system, or lack there of, puts no one in good position to score.

Interesting stat..since dawn has been coach at USC, she has put 8 All Americans in the court. Can you guess how many holly has? I'll give ya a hint, starts with 0 lol

She has no offense or hands. She has more turnovers than shots and does not know how to make room with here hips and legs to prevent the ball from being stolen.

The team actually player pretty well on both defense and offense for 2 1/2 quarters. After that they reverted back to standing around waiting for the hot clock to get down to 5-6 seconds and then someone fires up an airball three. A team seldom wins when they have 19 turnovers. SC did not play their normal game , but some of that may have been Tennessee's defense until mid way the 3rd quarter.

Let me clarify one point about DeShields: I have no problem with her "doing her thing" if her thing is playing good basketball--making shots and making good passes-- and being an enthusiastic leader of the team. She has done her "thing" in most games this year, contrary to what lindsay says--and her thing has been bad---very poor shooting and lots of turnovers. If doing your "thing" is 5-15 shooting and 7 TOs, then the coaches are not going to let you continue to do your thing. That is why DeShields no longer starts.

Is she the most talented offensive player we have? In terms of her skill set, absolutely. We need her to be active and take shots and make passes--but we need good results. It's all about results. You have to make shots, you have to make good passes and not turnovers, you have to work hard on defense, and you have to make good decisions. In the third quarter, she makes a basket and than commits an absolutely stupid foul at the midcourt line, her third, and has to sit down. She's been going that kind of "thing" all year. DD seems soft to me--no mental toughness. We have so totally lost our mental toughness. We don't have it in our coaches and we don't have it in our players. A player like Diana Taurasi would laugh at DD---difference between a great player and totally tough vs. someone who is not. No smarts, no toughness: Welcome to UT basketball.

Holly has 7 McD's AAs playing the worst basketball of their lives right now.

Which is what makes this season so unacceptable.

Yeah, I think that is Diamond's father real account. I can't blame him and I wouldn't be surprised if Diamond leaves after the season. She has to be feeling like she made a major mistake coming here. She has the potential to be a star and you only get one time to play college ball. I still don't understand why she comes off the bench. She turns the ball over because of over passing. If we ran some sort of offense this team would look much better.

Dawn Staley wins more with less. She doesn't have 10 McDonalds all Americans especially in the guard position.

Some guy on Facebook just said that there are two underclassmen that played tonight that won't be here next year (didn't name them).....I know it's just rumors but I wouldn't doubt it!
