Gatlinburg Being Evacuated

I know there were 3 fatalities, a lot of residents lost their homes and some owners lost their businesses but thanks to the first responders, firemen, and general prayers all around a good portion of Gatlinburg was saved. Those conditions in Gatlinburg were just awful and grim and this could have been far worse than it is right now. I personally was fearing the worst and was sure we were going to wake up to the entire city being gone. Still sending thoughts and prayers to those who have nothing to go back to and those who lost loved ones.

A couple of things from the comments..

"Cindy Maffild" = Cindee Mayfield

She works for Mendocino County drug courts..."anonymous" says "cindy maffilds drug cort was th latest phsical attack on my children"

"anonymous" also mentions Mendocino county drug courts.

I can't figure out the connection or why this guy would post that comment on an article about a fire in Tennessee, but I'm getting there.

I haven't connected all the dots, but this is very interesting.

My family stays there at least once a year. We were planing on staying a night at Christmas. I absolutely loved that place. Makes me sick that it's gone.

I'm all for a separate thread if the mods think this is derailing the Gatlinburg thread. But there's a lot of $hi+ in those comments and when "anonymous" starts dropping all of these names and facts and also throws in a "more terrer on the way", it gets my attention.

I'm a firefighter/emr in middle tn. We haven't been called yet but have been told we are more than likely being sent out soon to relieve some of the crews there.

Im like you something isn't right here. I have a friend in the Knoxville FBI office I will give a call to tomorrow.

He's not stupid. He's intentionally spelling all of these words wrong. Who would spell Tennessee, "Tennicie"? "Spechal Agint"...please...this is intentional and code.

The Ukia is the biggest city in Mendocino.

Maybe. But it's one thing to speak english and another to spell it.

Possibility that they're doing the best they can typing and spelling.

If I remember correctly, Erlanger gave up their level 1 burn unit due to finances. They were losing money of of it pretty bad I think. We don't transport any burn victims there anymore. Most go to Vandy, and some go to Wake Forest.
