Geno Speaks

I think Coach Summit shouldn't have filed the complaint unless she was willing to come out with everything that happened. Some things that happened were never reported. In the beginning Geno was losing the recruiting battle for Moore then he got on the mothers good side by meeting her demands. It is all history now and not really worth talking about anymore. The facts are we could have had Moore at Tennessee if we had supplied a house and a business. UConn was more than willing to do whatever it took.

More "facts". Isn't there just one person, of the many who have them, who would be willing to share these facts with the rest of us here on VolNation ? And if you don't want to share them here, I'm sure the NCAA would be interested in them.

It's easier to create bogeymen than to admit that Connecticut has left UT in the dust for the time being.

It is a waste of time and energy since the Coach of the Lady Vols didn't see fit to pursue it needs to die. This has been over for years time to put it to rest nothing to see here it is over. Still the one obvious point is you don't go to poverty to the penthouse in a recruiting summer. It doesn't happen unless you have a skill to sell and in this case someone definitely had that skill and the most was made of it.

Is that what happened ? Or is it just more idle speculation ? I would be overjoyed if you could prove it, is that possible ? Or is the accuracy of your idle speculation equal to your recruiting speculation ? Remember these from October postings ?
"I will be BEYOND shocked if Carter doesn't end up at Tennessee".
or
"We are in good shape with both Brown and Mompremier"

We were in very good with both Brown and Mompremier. Brown wanted Baylor, which wasn't a surprise, but Mompremier wanted to go wherever she did, so when Brown decided, Mompremier followed. It was down to Baylor and Tennessee for both. Never predicted we would get both. I said we could get both, get one, or get none.

When I found out about why Carter wanted to go to Vandy, it didn't surprise me at all she went there.

Volnation let me ask you...do you think the complaint that was filed by the sec on behalf of Tennessee was a good or bad move on pats part?

I also want to ask anyone who might have the answer to this..was this complaint and the alleged violations against uconn ever made public?? do we know for sure what all violations were listed in the complaint?

Yes, it was made public. It's out there somewhere. The majority of the complaint was posting from the Boneyard where posters who were at their First Night festivities discussed obvious violations (fans and coaches speaking with recruits on visits, boosters recruiting with various signs, etc) which are all violations. It was determined by the NCAA that those instances "never happened". The parts concerning specific recruits were blacked out IIRC so I don't know which recruits were there. I think Maya was one of them. Caroline Doty was another.

If anyone wants to believe that it's just a coincidence that Kathryn Moore went from living in the projects in Georgia to a private condo in a gated community in Connecticut and nothing happened, then honestly they're not even worthy of the time I take to respond to them.

Finally, someone with first hand information. Can you please enlighten the whole board and post the address of both her Georgia and Connecticut residences ?

What does the Bible say about people who want their ego stroked?

It's so hilarious how the 'proof demanders' just cannot STAND the fact that some of us simply know more about this than they do. I've been having this discussion for years. It's obvious that it just KILLS you. And it's utterly hilarious. :) Y'all obviously miss the fact that we don't really care if you believe us or not. We can only say the words ... we can't make you believe them or undrestand them. If you want 'proof', that's on you. You're rhetorically asking for something that you know you won't get. But you're DEAD WRONG. I know a helluva lot more about the LV program than you could ever dream of knowing, you can bet on that. And you can sit behind your keyboard and be naive if you like. Doesn't matter to me, boo. If you don't think everyone from within the program wasn't fully aware of the Maya Moore situation -- aided by the fact that Kathryn kinda, sorta outlined for Pat was Geno was doing, and told her to beat it, if she wanted Maya -- then you're not terribly bright.

Congratulations, you've just hit new heights in absurdity.
It's difficult enough to have a discussion when the facts are in question but it's impossible when facts are not needed at all. Take a step back and think of the position you just took. You make a statement and then say " If you want 'proof', that's on you." ???? I have to prove your statement ? Einstein was right "The difference between stupidity and genius is that genius has its limits".

The only 'facts' are that some people know what happened, some don't, and some that don't won't believe it until they see it. They are the kind of people that have to get wet before they can tell it's raining. That's fine. But don't whine when others won't oblige, because not everyone has that same idiotic attitude. Kathryn Moore pimped her daughter out. That is a FACT, no matter how much y'all want to sit here and whine that people who know about the situation don't want to air everything they know on a public message board to public strangers and share information with people who aren't entitled to it.

You obviously dodged my original point, too. How did Kathryn Moore go from living in the projects in Lawrenceville, Georgia to living in Connecticut period, much less in a condo in a gated community? I know how, but obviously you and the other naive sweethearts don't, so form your own theory. How did it happen? If you care enough to even provide a commentary on the subject, surely you can think about the question enough to provide a theory.

You don't have to prove anything and neither do I. It isn't my responsibility to provide you with anything. Why is it a hard concept for you to grasp? I share what I know and I share information (as do others) and people won't take it for face value and want more. I guess it's easier to just assume people would lie and make stuff up. Although I have no idea why, because what purpose does it serve to assume we are lying? And what purpose would it serve for us to lie? Just because you may talk about stuff you know nothing about doesn't mean you should ASSume the same of others. So YES that's on you and all the others who have the gall to talk about "proof". Truth be told, you should be thankful that you're even being told as much information as what you are being told now. And yet, you have the audacity to sit behind your keyboard and think you're entitled to the same information as everyone else. You aren't. Get over it. If you want the damn 'facts' so much, then get off your rear end and go find them yourself instead of expecting them to be handed to you.

Reading comprehension is not your strong suit. I didn't dodge your question "How did Kathryn Moore go from living in the projects in Lawrenceville, Georgia to living in Connecticut period, much less in a condo in a gated community? " I asked for the address of each so that I could confirm what you described. And what was your response to my request ? Silence.
You don't have to give your top secret information to me, you can send it to the NCAA. They would be very interested in "the fact that Kathryn kinda, sorta outlined for Pat was (sic) Geno was doing" LOL.
You're right on one point, I don't believe you. But I am open to changing my mind, I just need some proof and that proof doesn't even have to be given to me. Forward it to the appropriate authorities. When they come out with penalties against UConn, I will be at the head of the line cheering.
Unfortunately, I don't see that happening because I don't think you have anything. Talk is cheap, prove me wrong.

condo in a gated community? where...? is she still there or was she renting? the NCAA needs to be horse-whipped for not doing a thorough investigation, how does everyone else knows but them. and a gated condo community in Connecticut, isn't that like "the projects". Dont let the word "condo" fool you

Ummmm you didn't answer the question. You asked another question. So yeah, you dodged it.

And nice to see you want to "confirm" something. You sound so intimidating, Mr. Important Message Board Vol Fan.

And what was your response to my request ? Silence.

Well, that's pretty much what you deserve, so...

I don't know the address. Is it that hard for you to figure out? Even if I did know it, do you honestly think there's going to be a record of her living there? I've already checked records. There is no public record of Kathryn Moore living in CT. I guess I just made the whole thing up, then. :ermm: I don't really care enough about the whole thing to find it out myself, much less for someone like you. This whole scenario happened eight years ago. *You* want the address, so *you* can find it. I'm not sure how many times I need to repeat this. Put on your big boy pants and get the information yourself. K?

WTF do you think Pat told the NCAA?

And don't "(sic)" me until you learn proper puncuation and sentence structure.

You're right on one point, I don't believe you.

Guess how many *****s I give? :whistling:

(BTW, that's a run-on sentence.)

But I am open to changing my mind, I just need some proof and that proof doesn't even have to be given to me.

I have a question: do you honestly think, for one second, that I care if some random stranger on a message board believes me or not? I am not interested in changing your mind, because I don't really care. I know the truth, and to be honest, that's really all I care about. Exactly how would it benefit me otherwise? I will repeat it for the eleventybillionth (and last) time: believe what I say or don't. I don't care. If you want further information, please feel free to gather it yourself.

Talk is cheap, prove me wrong.

And yet the "talk" I have is obviously digging at your mind. You know I know information ... and you know you won't get it (because you're being a jerk) ... and it's killing you. You can take the desire for the 'facts' and shove them up your rear end. You people that think you're entitled to information never get it because you don't know how to not be rude and confrontational about it. As the old saying goes, you'll catch more flies with honey than with vinegar.

Here's a suggestion: since you like spouting off crap from the Bible, go look there for the 'facts'. :birgits_giggle:

Evidently, Slydell has access to information even more secret than your top secret files.

"WTF do you think Pat told the NCAA?"

I don't know what Pat told them. All I know is the outcome of the complaint.

"I have a question: do you honestly think, for one second, that I care if some random stranger on a message board believes me or not?"

Yes. Why else would you continue to rant and post multiple replies ?

It really doesn't matter to me personally whether you are a religious person or not. However, I don't see any reason to demean others belief in the Bible. It seems to me as unnecessary and mean spirited. But I'll still thank you for wishing me a good day and may you have a good day too.

While you guys are bashing Geknow, lets not forget that PS was also hit with a Secondary Violation during her recruitment of Megan Simmons. She also went as far as being mad at the Photog for snapping the pic instead blaming herself. How soon we forget. No one can throw stones here...

Hoopslover,

Perhaps you should get your information from somewhere other than the UConn message boards. First, the Tennessee Lady Vols program has had one or two secondary violations over the years. Secondary violations are not uncommon and generally involve nothing more than a public acknowledgement that they have occurred. One rather "famous" one that I recall was when Michelle Snow received "extra" desserts from a cafeteria worker who felt she was too skinny and needed to bulk up.

The incident to which you referred did, in fact, occur during the recruitment, although I don't recall any report that Pat Summitt was "mad" at the photographer. The photo was, however, taken without Pat's knowledge or consent and was published in a local paper in Meighan Simmon's hometown. It was the publication that Tennessee self-reported as a secondary violation.

And therein lies the difference. The Tennessee WAD had always self reported violations when there was any possibility that one had occurred (yes, even the one of the extra desserts!) and they did so without any 'nudging" by an outside party.

Frankly, given the current complexity of the NCAA recruiting regulations, I would find it almost unbelievable that there aren't one or two secondary violations that occur in every program on an annual basis. A significant number of programs just ignore minor secondary violations knowing, I presume, that the NCAA can't or doesn't bother themselves with investigating these type of "infractions". The NCAA does, however, expect a program to make an annual report of potential violations. It is only when a school has not reported a violation and there becomes a public discussion that there is a problem or when the number or re-occurance of secondary violations indicates a "lack of institutional control".

If "no one can throw stones here", I suggest that you put yours back in your pocket.

Jim
