George Santos (aka Kitara Ravache): The Fabulous Fabulist

I mean, the first response was not to condemn this guy but to redirect to Joe Biden.

Mr. Santos is pretty clearly relying on outright fraud to get elected. His constituents were duped and should demand a recall.
Would you honestly expect anything else?

Amazing to me people think they can get away with this kind of thing. He had to know SOMEONE would figure it out.

Why would he worry? We live in a world where the Two biggest liars alive have been elected our last two Presidents. We have someone who lied about military service serving as a multi term Senator from CT. There are no consequences anymore. If people catch on both sides will fire their sides up over police brutality or drag shows until the coast is clear. My Dad spent years on business in South America and the Caribbean. There would have been a time when this omnibus bill would have gotten people “removed from office “. Now no one cares.

“My sins here are embellishing my résumé,” Mr. Santos told The New York Post in one of several interviews he gave on Monday.

Mr. Santos admitted to lying about graduating from college and making misleading claims that he worked for Citigroup or Goldman Sachs. He once said he had a family-owned real estate portfolio of 13 properties; on Monday, he admitted he was not a landlord.

That's not "embellishment." That's just being a total liar and fraud. There has to be some element of truth for it to be embellished. If there's no core of truth, it's just a lie.

What is the process for replacement if he resigns or is removed? His replacement gets appointed by the DEMOCRAT governor? Clever little ploy. I think I will pass

Not sure at all....I'd have to hear his policy position to determine if his BS is worth the black mark....

There are no previsions for a recall of a congressman in NY, he can only be forcibly removed by a 2/3rds vote in the house and that isn't happening.

I noticed Sleepy Joe hasn't weighed in yet....of course he and Corn Pop have been driving an 18-wheeler cross country awarding Purple Hearts to Civil War veterans. Then he's getting an award for graduating top of his class in law school and for being the only one on full scholarship....so he's been pretty busy. I bet Sleepy Joe hates liars.

Not with the razor thin margin after the red trickle in November.

Seriously?

If you lied on your resumé to get a job - about damn near every topic - you would be fired.

I would also think if you owned your own business that you would fire someone who you just hired once you found out they lied to you about a plethora of topics during the interview process.

Yet you’re willing to let this dude egregiously lie to people - without stating he should obviously be removed - bc you might agree with his politics.

Way to stand for something, buddy.

How do you proposes he be removed?

Also this falls onto the press for not properly vetting the candidate.

Not for me to decide. If he was someone who actually cared for his country and his constituents, he would resign bc he would know he didn’t earn his position. That would be the ethical move. But I suppose he would’ve never ran for office and lied about everything in the first place if he had any ethics.

And to say you have to check his policy beliefs before being able to state that he *should* be removed despite the incredible amount of lies he has been caught in is ridiculous.

Biden was elected President and no one has ever lied as much as that man. People (Dems, media and Dem voters) figured it out and decided they didn’t care.

Do you feel the same about Biden? He told as many if not more lies and embellished his resume to get elected.
